I think I've seen TBC a few times before. Sometimes they're good, sometimes they're carp.

Oh, they're a band? I guess I just assumed TBC was a variation of "To Be Announced."

Hence "sometimes they're good, sometimes they're carp"

 I didn't notice that. And I couldn't resist...

Apparently there was a choice between standard and secure delivery and secure delivery can't be arranged outside of Britain? This is what they've told me anyways.

"When you purchased this particular ticket you opted for standard delivery. This (unlike secure delivery) can be sent overseas."

So for one ticket I ticked standard and they are mailing it to the US, the other I ticked secure and they aren't, yet.

I don't recall seeing that detail at all, but whatever. Monkey with a keyboard. Image

Identical thing here. It was 1 AM when I bought them, sure, but I thought I'd paid attention to the checkout process. I decided to play it safe, and leave Thursday's at the box office. Friday's was already in the mail so there's that.

I've often thought TBC would be a good name for a band. Or Special Guests. They both seem to get a lot of gigs.

Hoping to head along to the Apollo on the 15th. Meeting some friends in MNC for a couple of days but I have no ticket as of yet. They're coming from Australia and I'm coming from Ireland. Last minute idea!

Have checked Stubhub etc. and unsurprisingly the prices are astronomical (required to purchase two tickets in most cases). Just wondering what my chances are of picking a ticket up on the night and how much of a shakedown that will be?

Big fan of the band, but having seen them numerous times in recent years, I'm hesitant to pay 5 times face value for a ticket.

Any thoughts?

Cheers.

Paddy,i have a spare for downstairs, there's 20 of us going over from Halifax,we're aiming to get to Manchester around 5ish,face value (£37.50 with the accursed booking fee),let me know if you want it,i'll hold onto it til you get back on here,
all the best,

Hi ole,

Sorry for the delayed response. Just got back on here..

I will most definitely take that if you still have it. I arrive in Manchester early afternoon so can meet you anytime after five - can arrange a where and when with you closer to the time and I'll be there.

Cheers.

Opening acts:

December 15 - Manchester, O2 Apollo, Embers supporting
December 17 - Glasgow, O2 Academy, Hermitage Green supporting
December 19 - London, O2 Academy Brixton, Kitty Finer opening, Crowns main support
December 20 - London, O2 Academy Brixton, Kitty Finer opening, Hermitage Green main support

I would speculate that with Kitty being present at Brixton that she is likely the vocalist to join on FToNY (should it be played) and A Man You Don't Meet (but this is, of course, pure speculation).

That's brilliant! Very much appreciated!

I probably won't be too far behind you in the gurning buffoon department come five o'clock!! That's the plan anyway. :D

If you want to mail me at mtktechnologyie@gmail.com and mail me your number and I'll do likewise?

(Mods - old email address so not worried about being spammed etc. - if it could be left up for a couple of days til we get in touch that would be great)

Will keep an eye ob my email.

Thanks!

Hermitage Green are fantastic :D I can't believe they're gonna be playing in Glasgow and London, lucky me. They are from down the road in Limerick and have played loads of times around here. They play a mixture of originals and covers of contemporary songs using guitars, bodhran, banjo and bongos! Worth a listen if you can drag yourselves out of the pub

Hermitage green are f*cking shocking, can't believe they are supporting, i had free tickets to them once, checked them out on youtube and threw the tickets into the fire ,blagh!

I will be in the pub for the support slot supporting a local publican

'The Dublin Legends' (although i hate the group name) would have been a good opening act, i.e Sean Cannon, Eamon Campbell (Dubliners) Patsy Watchcorn (Dublin City Ramblers) and Gerry O'Connor (Four men and a dog)

Hermitage green sounds like a shit B&B or a rehab clinic for attention seeking celebrities... feckin rubbish
