Just got tickets for Brixton Academy on the Friday night, seen them in Belfast and Dublin so hoping it will be a good night.

For those that have been to Brixton before is the whole upper circle unreserved? I booked mine as unreserved circle / rear standing on ticketmaster but it has given me seat numbers, my brother has booked the same through gigs and tours and his says unreserved.

Yep, it's completely unreserved. Just turn up and pick a seat. Get in the queue before the front door opens to try and get the front row. Great view of the stage and the heaving mass of bodies below. Did it for one of the nights in 2004. 8)

Back in 2007 Billy Bragg has been in Manchester, so would be great to see him again!

The Wakes (from Glasgow) or The Biblecode Sundays (from London) would also be fantastic!!!!!

Any of the Pogues' members' other projects as I'm not really familiar with them (aside from the Radiators) and I'd like to be. Or the Bad Shepherds, the band with Adrian Edmondson.

Ha! I attended a showing of a new film just out on DVD called "Bruce and I". It's about Bruce fans and their experiences. I won't give anything away but in one segment a guy from Manchester i believe talks about being at a show for his girl friend and it goes on and on paraphrasing he said something to the effect
"three and half hours until we got out of there!"

i remember seeing the drop kick murphys at the london fleadh same day as the pogues headlined that was very memorable as the proclaimers played too

as far as support acts for the pogues go i really dont think you could ask for better from nigel burch and the flea pit orchestra

they would go down a storm with the pogues audience

Yeah, thinking about it, Blood Or Whiskey were the last support band I made the effort to get to see. We seem to have perfected finishing the last pint at 11 mins past 9 and arriving at the pit as Straight To Hell bellows out 8)

Yes, DKM were back in 2005, I think, and were excellent.
Young Mr Turner was good last year at the O2.
I'm usually fated to see the support act whoever they are, as they like to lump me into the venue early. I actually enjoyed The Walkmen, and Larrikin Love a few years ago, though I know the latter at least weren't universally popular.

No chance of getting William Elliott Whitmore over here this December, is there?
Or Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band would be a terrific support for the Pogues, though they might just set the stage on fire.
Or The Destroyers (not George Thorogood's band, this lot come from Brum).
