Or due to unprecedented demand Saturday night!

Looks like Saturday night is already booked for something else at Brixton Academy. So it'd have to be a matinee...

I think I'm going to cry.

Oh shit, Kathleen and Terry are going to kill me! They both reminded me.

Someone shoot me.

Seems like Glasgow standing tickets are also sold out.

I'm not in the least bit suprised that that the shows are going to be sell outs but am shocked at the speed they went at. I'm guessing there's more than a few fans that have been taken unaware :(

Phew!!! Yep, Friday standing * seems to be sold out but Plan B (standing on Thursday) purchased instead.

* Must say I'm amazed how quickly they've gone. I seem to remember waiting several weeks before buying for many previous gigs.

Still can't quite believe this is happening. I didn't go to the O2 last year, as soulless barns invariably leave me depressed. It wouldn't have been the last place I'd have wanted to see the Pogues live had it been the final Christmas reunion gig. I've got my ticket for Friday night; I'll be down the front, stage right, as I have been since the first time I saw them in 1987 (as captured in the Poguetry book). And will have to crawl up the A12 to a posh family lunch on Saturday morning. That might be messy - especially if I opt for the Ram Jam all nighter over a Travel Inn.

Here they are

http://www.seatwave.com/the-pogues-tick ... erf/876237

I dropped in on the box office last week and bought a pile of tickets* (alltaken) without charges, fees, postal panics etc. Always best of you're lucky enough to be local as every ticket basically comes with a free pint of stout.

Think that makes me winner of the Smug Bastard award 8)

But surely they'll be releasing more? I don't think there's even been an ad in the press. Perhaps held back to combat the Seatwavers? South Londoners might try getting down to the box office pronto. It opens two hours before on show nights.

(*excluding one Fr. M)

edit: there's two on seatwave for 63 quid plus fees. Prob same price as ticketmaster if you can trust them?

edit #2: scratch that, apparently its 63 EACH

I'm pretty sure I saw ads in last weekend's press. Though I may have imagined it. There was certainly stuff online.

I'm guessing there will be more tickets released at some stage. And there will of course be plenty of scalpers offering them outside the Brixton Academy, and in the local hostelries on the night.

Buy an upstairs ticket for Brixton. You just need two mates with downstairs tickets and you'll be fine.

You know, some of you people are fuct. "The band should do this, and the band should do that" Piss off. How many days per week do you wake up and "have" to do something you don't want to? Can't they live their lives? Ya, only 4 shows, but consider yourself lucky. And, "oh they did something you wouldn't". GUESS WHAT, you're not an amazing musician or part of a great band. A band who's music has been around longer than I've been alive. I can only imagine all of the bullshyt involved in touring to the US.

When I learned of the latest 4 day tour, I immediately looked at flights from Canada to UK. This trip would cost me over $2000!!! But it was considered!!! At nearly a months wages, it is not possible at this time. If this is my last chance to see the Pogues then call me shitfaced.

I am for once being optimistic that the Pogues will be in the US early 2014, and if not it's my fuk up. I will then know, it was my calling to go to the UK.

Another thing, Complaints of 40 pound per show? Are you fuking mad? What do you people want??? That is the perfect rate, and I assure you we/me are willing to pay a lot more than 40 fukin pound to see these legends. You cheap pricks. It should cost more to see a band of this caliber.

In finish, I wait patiently with this life decision I've made not to fly to the UK, and pray to see some New York shows early 2014.

Now piss off ya? :P
