Surely you can pick them up together. Theatre companies allow you to do that, I don't see why it wouldn't be the same with gig tickets. Then again never had any experience of that myself so I wouldn't know.

My confirmation email for Manchester sent three days ago and still no sight of these tickets. I'm not sure if the postman's been yet, finger's crossed he hasn't and he stops at our house for a change.

Does anyone know if you can go upstairs at Brixton with a ticket for the Stalls?

I know it is unthinkable for most people but one of the ladies I am going with has just found out she is pregnant so might not want to be in the middle of the chaos.

How's it going James, I don't that will be possible if upstairs is sold out but if you click this link, you can email them and they are quick to reply.

Hi all,

Hoping to head along to the Apollo on the 15th. Meeting some friends in MNC for a couple of days but I have no ticket as of yet. They're coming from Australia and I'm coming from Ireland. Last minute idea!

Have checked Stubhub etc. and unsurprisingly the prices are astronomical (required to purchase two tickets in most cases). Just wondering what my chances are of picking a ticket up on the night and how much of a shakedown that will be?

Big fan of the band, but having seen them numerous times in recent years, I'm hesitant to pay 5 times face value for a ticket.

Any thoughts?

Cheers.

Hey. territa, see you outside Brixton doors on the Thursday by 7pm. We too have to be there then, with printout of email and fingers crossed.

I'm living vicariously through all of you lucky bastards! Shane, please come back to the States one more time!?!! Sorry , don't mean to be whiney but pleeeeeeeeeeeease! (I know Shane doesn't read this but maybe someone who has a connection does and will put in a good word or they'll tell him that there is some whiney chic on his fan forum that won't shut up about him coming to the States so just go already for Christ sake!)
Anyway, I wish all the Medusans that are going to the shows lots of fun and safe travels!

Brixton show times (allegedly)

Post Sun Dec 08, 2013 10:40 am

From the O2 Brixton Academy twitter feed:

Stage times for @poguesofficial Thurs 19th & Fri 20th Dec Doors 7pm Support TBC 8pm Pogues 8.45pm Curfew 11pm All times are approximate.

I think I've seen TBC a few times before. Sometimes they're good, sometimes they're carp.

Oh, they're a band? I guess I just assumed TBC was a variation of "To Be Announced."

Embers twitter confirms they are the support for Manchester.

What the guardian says (amongst other things) is:

What this Manchester four-piece specialise in is epic anthemia with elements of post-rock, psychedelia, shoegaze and that brand of choral big music that so many indie bands have struggled to achieve since Radiohead got The Bends. Factor in the frozen tundra majesty of Sigur Rós at their most rousing and widescreen and you've got, well, a band that you can hardly believe are still unsigned and still at the support-slot stage.

If there is any other combination of words not involving "U2" that would make me stay in the pub or at home, I would be surprised!
