Brixton Academy: I need URGENT HELP

Post Fri Oct 07, 2005 2:28 am

I have tried to buy my tickets in the Internet through a couple of sites of online sale of tickets, but I haven't been able, there are no available. Please I need to know a way of purchasing the tickets online.

In case it is not possible (or if it is possible but you don't know the way), I need you to tell me please how to know the sale points in London (my sister is living in London, so I can tell her to buy them for me).

I have found a couple of feasible flights from Spain to London, but I don't want to purchase them before being sure that tickets won't be sold out.

And I need the information as soon as possible, becuase from one day to another flying fees may change a lot, so I must purchase the flight as soon as possible.

Thanks for your help.

Carlos.

If you go to the Brixton Academy website http://www.brixton-academy.co.uk/pages/contact.cfm looking for tickets, the link there takes you to the ticketweb site. Don't know if it works, or if you've already tried it. Good luck, anyway...

I just called ticketweb: tickets are selling well but there are plenty left, including downstairs standing. I will hold off buying until I can get down to the box office myself, to save on fees (about £30 alone for booking fees as I'm buying for lots of people!) and that does not seem to be a problem.

If you can't get tickets online, try calling 0780 7712000 (from the UK).

No info yet on the third date but personally I'm optimistic!

Do you mean the box office @ the venue? Or a ticketweb office somewhere?

Guest: It was someone at ticketweb I spoke to.

MissWalshy: yes, you save heaps on 12 tix. Fees are about £4 per ticket, a complete outrage. But if you can buy in person and in cash at the box office, it is only the face value price of the tickets. You have to catch them open though, only on show nights and after 6pm or so. Check 020-77713000.

If you follow the "buy tickets" link from the Brixton Academy website, you can buy tickets from ticketweb that way... or so it says.

Sale points

Post Fri Oct 07, 2005 2:39 pm

I see you are talking about buying the tickets at the post office or something like that. Please tell me an address and I will tell my sister to buy them. My sister lives at the South area in London (and I have a cousin living at the North area).

Please tell me an address of a sale point.

Thanks,
Carlos.

Carlos: if your sister can get to Brixton (if she's in south London it shouldn't be a problem), the best plan would be for her to go to Brixton Academy itself (it's at 221 Stockwell Road, SW9), and buy tickets direct from the box office at the venue. Check the website for opening times.
