Due to the lack of info regarding gigs this summer, does any one agree with me that this could be the end of the band
I'm hoping not but got a feeling that this is and the 2 comp albums are the final offering

I thought that after the Christmas gigs in 2010 however since then ive done New York and London. I presume as Phil has said on loads of occaisons if something comes up that suites all of the band then it'll be a goer. However personally I cant see anymore tours etc etc

Lets be honest they have given us two goes in the barrel. Who would have thought. Thanks for the ride guys and if the bus (possibly green) comes past again then we can all jump back on

It's kind of odd really, but then anything this band does is odd, or rather special. But it's understandable that there aren't going to be more and more and more tours for years to come, I mean you gotta realise that it's been like 13 years since the first reunion shows...I personally would love to see them again, but all good things have to come to an end basically. Let's face it, there isn't going to be new music, but the legacy of the Pogues is fucking outstanding. There are so many celtic folk punk bands now (some are great, some are really average...) and the Pogues started the whole thing, plus their recorded work is fucking phenomenal, their live shows are legendary and the quality of the songs and lyrics is pretty much unmatched. That's it. Long live the Pogues!

hope not ,sure iread it wasnt the end somewhere on here ,be gutted if it is as missed th o2 gig by a whisker.
surely the o2 wont be last gig ,if there is to be a last gig its got to be brixton.
just because no dates are announced does not mean the end ,quite a busy year for the band last year ,the highlight for me was seeing them in a field 8 miles from me house (strummer of love festival)
i can honestly say i had one of the best nights of my life down the front jumping like a loon for 90 mins.
perhaps they are doing a bowie ,no news for while then bang new album appears out of the blue ,yes i know more chance of me being asked to stay at his farmhouse instead of a tent for glastonbury this year but i can but hope.

I think its a case of if the right offer is made I presume. I don think (I might be wrong) that anyone has stated that its all done and dusted.

I don't think it's the end. Most of them have said they want to keep doing until one dies.
If they do, I would actually be upset. I mean I respect the decision, but I wish I became a fan earlier. I have probably been listening to their music for about 2 years now. Never got to see em live.
