Summer in Siam at xmas 2005

WHY oh WHY is nobody including "Summer in Siam" on their XMAS setlists? Less drinking songs, more beautiful melodies I say.

Summer in Siam would have been perfect at Guilfest but - at least for me - it doesn't seem to fit at the Christmas shows.
Summer in Siam is one of my favourite songs though. The lyrics create such a comfortable mood of laziness.
The combination of harp and saxophone (+piano) sounds incredible during the last instrumental verse. Whoever had that idea shall be blessed forever. It's one of the most gorgeous sounds I have ever heard.

WHY oh WHY not include your replies in the thread already created and thriving dedicated to wish sets at the upcoming shows?

DzM: another forum I've visited has a ?'sticky' at the top of every section saying Please Read Before You Start A New Thread. Basically it says please check to see if the topic has already been started, and if it has: join in, don't start again! And if it hasn't, give it as clear a title if possible. So you get threads of 20 pages, all the debate and info on one subject in one convenient spot and far fewer 'new' threads dribbled all the way down the page repeating eachother. Maybe this would help?

It's great the way this forum has taken off.

I think the webmaster even anticipates some topics by starting him themself, eg 'What would you like to hear this Xmas?' ...

Summer in Siam is the first 7" I found on vinyl, via eBay, 6 years or so ago. And here I am now, tickets in hand for two Glasgow shows, Dec. 2005.

I don't like the song much myself but i think you guys might be pleasantly surprised. Last year after the tsunami shane played at a benefit gig. Apparently played SIS, sayonara & poss more from the hells ditch album even though ive never heard anything past IISFFGWG album at his solo shows.

In the wake of the medusa would be incredible. Of course none of this neccesarily means anYTHING as it mighta been a once off for the tsunami show.
