Mr Chevron,
I would really like to know if there's going to have tickets at the door too... I mean, for REALLY sure. I'm going to Spain just to see The Pogues...
Thanks!

I am now registered and official. Please send me any info you have Phillip. It is very fustrating. I simply can see no way to get tickets for this show, if the one and only website which sells them will only accept credit cards issued in Spain. It is a great risk to spend a few hundred dollars on a flight and car rental, just to find out, particularly knowing my luck, that they are sold out at the door.

Hello everybody!!! First of all, I will present myself.
My name is Carlos, I am from Cantabria (a province just beside the Basque Country). I am 28 years old, and The Pogues are my favourite group since I was 9-10 years old (it hadn't still been released "If I should fall from grace with God").
The thing is that assisting to a concert of The Pogues was always my impossible dream, but I never thought this dream could turn into true!! (sorry for my English). This is an opportunity that I won't ever have in all my life, and I must seize it.
Well, I have read in this forum about some people who would like the translation into English of some of the information in the webpage of "Azkena Rock Festival". I offer myself t help you with that. In the other hand, there are some people who have problems with booking the tickets and that. I also offer myself in helping in what I can. But the thing is that I don't know any of you, and no one of you knows me, so it would be difficult to make something related to money without having it tied legally. Once somebody tells me the way of tying something legally, I will do as much as I can in order to help you.
That's all for instance.
Best regards to all,
Carlos Martínez.

I'm now registered too...
I would really like to have a confirmation that there would be tickets still available at the door the day of the show!
I'm leaving to France next saturday... but would take a 12 hours car drive to see the Pogues... but I don't want that show to be sold out!
Please confirm. Thanks!

even though I´m from Spain, I don´t know Vitoria, and I can´t find the information I want on the web, so, anybody here knows or has been able to find out how far is the Recinto de Mendizabala from Vitoria and more exactly from Vitoria´s bus station?

I am trying to get answers to some of these questions at the moment. It's a bit tricky as I'm in Co Westmeath cutting an album with The Radiators and am only occasionally in touch with the outside world. But I have asked our tour manager if he can help clarify the situation and will post here if he does. No promises though.
Ticket fiasco

I have been dealing with these people in Spain trying to get tickets for 10 days now, emails shooting back and forth. As it stands, according to my infromation, the situation looks grim. Servicaxia, the only way to buy tickets online and the only way to buy tickets in advance without actually going to Spain it seems, says that whether they accept foreign credit cards (credit cards issued outside of Spain) depends on whether the promoter of the particular concert allows them or not. Apparently, the promoter of the Azkena Rock festival told Servicaxia NOT to accept any credit card issued outside of Spain for buying tickets, effectively preventing anyone but residents of Spain from buying advance tickets for this show, as crazy as that seems. From what I have been led to believe, and don't quote me on this as I am not totally postive, is that they do sell tickets day of the show at the venue. Of course the big question is, will the show be sold out by then. It would be quite bad, and just my luck as well, for someone in my situation, who is coming from the USA, to make all these arrangements to go to Spain, rent a car, etc., show up at the door and have them say "sorry, sold out." A situation which is quite possible with a concert as big as this.
I've got the ticket

Well, a couple of friends of mine bought it for me. The thing is that, instead of buying a ticket for both days, I've bought a ticket for an only day (which is the day in which the Pogues play). It was 45 € euro.

The promoter has reassured us there WILL be tickets available on the gate, though I do not personally want to take responsibility for this guarantee!!!

I have had this additional info from the Pogues tour manager Craig Duffy.
Hello Craig
The tickets for the Azkena Rock Festival are selling via internet in
http://www.servicaixa.com or on the next phone number: 0034 902 33 22 11
If they have any problem, they can send us a mail to
info@lasttourinternational.com
Best regards
Gorka

Yeah, servicaxia, that's the site and the phone number I tried to book tickets with for 10 days. Unless the situation has changed in the last day or two, that site will not let you book a ticket if your credit card was issued outside of Spain. Nether will calling the phone number. According the the servicaxia site, they claim it is the fault of the concert promoter that told them not to accept non-Spanish credit cards.
