I'm going on record right now saying I wish to hell Mrs. Cadillac and I could swing this but with 2 young girls and a trip to Portland for New Years Eve already planned there is no way we can do it. Have fun, especially our new friends who were so much fun at Kitty O'Sheas during the Paris shows.

I have no information on this yet, but I'd be surprised if we were onstage before 8. Much more likely would be 9.

Thanks Ohil. Yeah it's ages away so there is no way you would know stage times etc. obviously 18:30 is doors open time. Anyway I'm all booked. Finish work 15:45, Lime St for 16:00. Hit London at 18:30. Lash our stuff stuff in the hotel and then onto the 02. Then up at 5.00am Fri train back to Liverpool and banco into work for nine ha ha

Now what is the quickest way to the 02. When me and er indoors went a few years ago we got the river boat but we had all day. It seemed really quick though. Or would tube be quicker

Just for the record. I would struggle to do what RichB is doing as I do not work in Liverpool City Centre and don't finish until 5pm normally. I could ask my boss if I could leave early but I would still struggle to make it and there is a possibility that my boss might not let me finish early. Also I have to drive to work and back as I do not live on a direct bus route.

It's all too easy for people here to say 'just do it, worry later', you are not in my situation. Anyway, if this does turn out to the last gig ever, I've had some great times and have some good memories to share with my niece's and nephew when they get older. Having seen The Pogues back in the day, I never expected the first reunion tour, let alone the second and all the others. The last gig I went to was at Greenwich and that was an excellent gig, although I did have problems getting there then. This is how I want to remember them and I'm very grateful that I've had the chance to see them again on many occasions over the last ten years.

Hear, hear, i echo everything you say Heather, there is no way i can get to see The Pogues perform in London, unless it was on a Friday or Saturday, which i have managed to do in previous years, ie Wembley,Brixton,Kentish Town. So,sad to say, my Chrismas fairy tale will have to be on'old' York!

It was a complete no go for me as well as I had no leave and a trip to London just before Xmas was a complete non runner. However my friend got us dirt cheap hotel and train tickets. I then begged somebody on an 8-4 to swap and a 10-6 the next day was easier to get. With two kids I'm normally the first to bail out of anything further than Manchester but as a one off I thought I would go for it. Heather you have been everywhere with the Pogues (well not everywhere but you know what I mean). With the exception of New York since the reunion I've not ha ha. Anyway they'll be back they'll miss us too much :D

IF YOU HAVE PLANS (OR EXCUSES) THEN BLOODY WELL CANCEL THEM, NOW!!!! WHAT CAN BE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE POGUES PLAYING IN THE SMOKE AT CHRISTMAS TIME? DON'T YOU REALISE HOW VERY LUCKY WE ARE, TO STILL HAVE SHOWS TO GO TO. DON'T START TAKING THEM FOR GRANTED, THEY WON'T BE AROUND FOREVER.
HOW ARE YOU FEELING THESE DAYS PHILIP ? ARE YOU PLANNING TO SING FOR US AT THE 02?

I will not be singing at the 02 as my voice is still not up to it.

However, I can say that tomorrow we will be announcing a very special guest to open the show.

Hi Phil,

Did you actually lose your voice for a period of time in the last few months? I don't recall you speaking at the Paris gigs at all, never mind sing.
How can your doctors or yourself predict you can't sing in late December while it is only mid October. Do you actually know what the problem is at this stage?
I can only imagine how frustrating it must be.

:D soulfinger and soulfinger Jr will be braving that London. It was so tempting, having been on holiday for all the other gigs this year then the announcing of fthc as support made it impossible not to go. Two days off work are booked, tickets purchased...now for a hotel and transport. Whoohoo! :D

More tickets bought, as at least one hazardette and boyfriend are now coming too... and the one living up in Dirty Old Town is trying to persuade her workplace to let her finish a day and a half early for Christmas... still haven't worked out how we're getting there, but it will happen somehow. 8)

Quickest = tube (about thirty minutes)
Most fun = boat (but you will have to get a tube or bus from Euston to Charing Cross, Waterloo or London Bridge to pick up the boat)
