Do you know if the standing area has a segragated pit at the front or is it just all one area like Brixton?

Some of the seating tickets are dearer than the standing, maybe theres a seated area near the front?

I think at the O2 there'd only be a segregated front standing area if the band/promoters asked for it. Which I'd guess means not for the Pogues... (When we were there for Broooce a few years back, they did have a reserved area at the front, which was accessible by wristbands, which they gave out to the first however many people were in the queue at the doors. Or maybe that was at the NEC. Not sure now. Your memory goes as you get older. Doesn't sound like the sort of thing that would happen at a Pogues gig anyway.)

The Arena's standing bit is the whole of the flat floor (the yellow bit on the plan below). The seating is banked up round the sides (the blue bits, plus the red if they're also using the upper tier). If they ever get around to sending me my tickets, we should be seated in one of the blue bits near the stage, but over to one side.

Apart from the fact that NOWHERE is quite like Brixton, the O2 is just one massive flat floor in standing - pretty much identical to Manchester MEN Arena. There wasnt any gold circle/chosen few wristband bollox style segragation in place - but guess that depends on promotors etc and what band you go to see. Not as easy going as Brixton there are marshalls everywhere ensuring you stay within the boundary lines so people can filter in and out etc.
Its all been said - but to add my 2 pence worth I said I would NEVER go back to the O2 again - it just not my cup of tea (lacks atmoshere, very corporate and sterilised experience)
Having said that: Would I miss the Pogues live ? SEE YOU AT THE O2

I was just concerned that the bullshit way The Point in Dublin used to run the gig with the first punters into the venue getting wristbands whether they wanted them or not and even if they had seating tickets, thus leaving a half full pit and frustrated fans not allowed in to fill it up and create an atmosphere.

I don't want to have to get to the O2 early and queue for the front. I want to chill out in the pub with friends and wander over 20 mins before Straight To Hell 8)
Christ, tell me that that is not true: standing tickets are sold out??? I have been dawdling along and not got organised. arrrrrggghhh

HELP!

Any spares? Walshy? Or are they being released in batches?
My daughter would also like a ticket and it is now too late as they are all sold! If anyone out there has one for sale we would be very pleased to buy it. I should have bought an extra one when we bought ours but we didn't think she would be free on the day...

Our group is short on 2 standing tickets, too. So if anyone could help out, it would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately can't make it due to work commitments so have two standing tickets for sale, I am based in Dublin, but may possibly be in london one day this week. Apologies if this isn't the correct thread for ticket sales!
