Hi everyone. I've never posted on here before but have been to lots of gigs over the years. This year, the only gig me and my mates can make it to is the one in Colmar. Judging by the festival's website, it looks as though the Pogues are not actually headlining but playing before some Frenchman I've frankly never heard of:

Will this be a full gig or just a shorter festival or even (God forbid) support slot? Any info would be much appreciated.

Festival billing and programming is not always the best indication of "status". Though I don't know our co-star, I have no reason to believe he is not one of the vast and unending supply of fantabulously successful male Pop stars with which France is so blessed. Ordinarily, we try to get on stage by 9 so that I don't have to be woken from my 10pm nap (aka bedtime) in order to do the show, So though I have no confirmation of either our showtime or the length of our show, neither do I have any reason to suppose it will not be the usual full set.

Hotel in Paris booked...heading to Cologne and Berlin following the the shows...does anyone have suggestions for accommodations in those cities?

There are several decent Hotels near the main train station,Koln Hbf, its been a few years since i last visited ,Hotels Berlin and Amsterdam were good value for money as was Hotelpension Thielen,though that was when the Deutsch mark was in circulation!

I'm going to be in Cologne with two friends...one of them has been with me in Brixton 2009, the other one hasn't seen the Pogues yet but is persuaded that this is the greatest band of all times, which is the truth...so cheers!
