Thanks. Reading the word Dominique makes me all kinds of sleepy.

Well that's just mean. We 'mericans aren't real talented at recognizing non-English words.

My guess is the French have noticed that. :)

Actually have been listening to it for the past half-hour or so.
Head down on desk.
The chocolate is helping.

Heard Debbie Reynolds' English version for the first time today.

A search for a video of her later record, her pro-contraception "Glory Be to God for the Golden Pill" proved fruitless. And no, I'm not making this up. Sadly, nor am I making up the fact that she and her galpal killed themselves in 1985 when financial pressures mounted. Stung for back taxes, her (accurate) claim that her Convent alone had benefitted from the worldwide success of "Dominique", in accord with her vows of poverty, was not accepted by the Belgian government when Jeanine was unable to provide documented proof of that.

In 1982, the now ex-nun made a fairly tepid "Disco Version" in a doomed bid to cover the tax bill.

People, huh?

I first heard Dominique in college, and I still like this version: When People Were Shorter and Lived Near The Water
Allow not nature more than nature needs, man's life is cheap as beast's.

I listened to the disco one for a minute but was afraid it would stop the magical properties the song has. This pill one I give 0 out of four Images.

Dominique is ImageImage Image Image Image

There's a German version, not too bad. But this is my favorite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j67CRvHEVvs&feature=related

Granted, yes, but its appeal is not in the ditty itself but in the zietgeistiness of an apostate lesbian nun, with presumably no foreseeable use for the Pill, so sacreligiously invoking the Deity's support for a mode of contraception denounced as a Mortal Sin by the Vatican. That and the fact that its boppy Swinging Sixties vibe is enhanced by the sense that it might have been written by creepy Serge Gainsbourg for one of his harem of underage Lolitas, like this one:

"Poupee de Cire, Poupee de Son" - France Gall

Understood. I was cultivating a grand case of narcolepsy yesterday and was rather fixated on that goal.

@Mr Chevron :

Dear Mister Chevron,

A time ago was written on the Homepage that the shows in paris will be recorded for a forthcoming live CD and DVD.

But now there is written '' The shows will be filmed and recorded for a possible live album and DVD.''

Is it not 100% sure that there is coming a live CD & DVD?.

Now with the word possible included I am thinking that there is a chance that there is no CD & DVD are coming.

Hopefully you could explain it.

Kind regards, Raymond

Nothing is ever certain, Raymond, until it actually happens.

Understand, but it was little confusion here, because now the word possible was written there.

Let's hope that the recording is with a reason ± bringing out a live album and DVD.
