Hi all. I am going to Paris to see the Pogues in September. I saw them in Drammen two years ago, finally, after a long wait! I was first aware of them when the first album came out and I reviewed both the first two albums in a music fanzine I was the editor of at the time with great enthusiasm. I had an invitation to see them in Oslo at a midday press gig in 1985 but had to work my day job

Never got around to seeing them in the 80s but was quite impressed in Drammen in 2010. I am a big music fan and my favorites are Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis, all of which I have seen many times and had the chance to hang out with them over the years. Sadly now only Jerry Lee is Last Man Standing. I also like Steve Earle a lot, I met him in Nashville in 1984 and he was a really nice and humble young man back then. Great music and love live performances!
The Drammen show made my get back into the Pogues' music and I have aquired the albums on CD and the box set, which I just bought. Transmetropolitan and Battle of Brisbane are still among my favorites!
I will be travelling with a friend of mine and we are looking for tickets to the September 11 show, as we were too late in ordering. Hopefully we will be able to get some between now and then or maybe even on the black market outside the venue! If anyone has one or two to spare, let us know and I will buy them off you. Prefer the standing in front orchestra pit, but anything goes!
Rock on and see you there!
