Hiya Mr Chevron,

I hope Steve Earle and Lynval Golding are coming to Melbourne too !!
So, I got my dates wrong - really ???
It must have been 87 and 89 then....
Regardless, I never thought it would happen again and I am stoked that it is.
See you on Wed night.

According to a couple of my colelagues, who commented on my Rum, Sodomy and the Lash T-shirt when I wore it the other day, the Pogues played Easts Leagues Club in Brisbane in 1989. Would've been fantastic if they were playing there this tour - it's literally a 500m walk from my house at Norman Park! :) I'm not sure if Sydney is sold out yet, but I have a spare ticket if anyone is interested. My housemate has pulled the pin because he didn't get his arse into gear to book flights to Sydney. From memory, the ticket were around $85, but I'll sell it for $60 if anyone from here wants it. We'll be in Sydney on Tuesday.

I just can't freaking wait for tonight's show here in Melbourne. Been waiting twenty years for this.

Just wanted to let people know, according to the festival hall website: "Last minute ticket release just announced. To purchased tickets, please call Ticketmaster on 136100. Only a limited number of tickets are available." (http://festivalhall.com.au/index.php/event/39)

See you there!

There was a long wait to get through and then a long wait to talk to someone but I finally got a reserved seat ticket. Unfortunately general admission was all sold out. But thanks heaps for the info! Really appreciate it! :D

Well the much anticipated day is finally here. Bluesfest so far has had more than its fair share of PA and sound mix issues, hope all goes well for the band tonight. With luck may get some autographs today, hopefully at least some of the guys will turn up at the signing area. Steve Earle has played a couple of sets and was excellent, wonder if he may do a guest appearance tonight. Best performances so far, at least until tonight, Seasick Steve followed John Hiatt. Report on the Pogues to follow...

Not been to the Hordern before, can someone recommend a nearby pub for pre and post gig beers please?
