Oh right! It's by a hack in a newspaper in Ireland! How could I have been so foolish as to think my own information was superior to such an authoritative, non shit-stirring source.

Struth! Not only are The Pogues playing Byron Bay, but also Great Big Sea.Two of my favourite bands performing in OZ, i am sorely tempted to go!My gaffer is an Aussie, i am sure i could persuade him to have the time off,he might even sub me the airfare!I last saw The Pogues on St.Patrick's day in New York in 2007, a gang{3 of us]flew from St.John's,my first ever trip to NYC and only my second Pogues gig.[The first was that strange line up that toured the US ín 1996, who were some of those guys?]I've visited Australia once before, would love to go again.

Texas may need much more than love...But it does beg the question, Will the West Coast see any Pogues in 2012?

[quote="philipchevron"]Heads up, Antipodeans

Don't go anywhere special in the first two weeks in April.

Tokyo Medusans may also wish to keep the

The Japan / Australia 2012 Tour Dates

March 28 - Studio Coast, Tokyo
April 1 - West Coast Blues 'n' Roots Festival, Perth
April 4 - Festival Hall, Melbourne
April 8 - Bluefest, Byron Bay
April 11 - Hordern Pavilion, Sydney

[i sincerely wish fo a brisbane show! byron bay is a good 3 hours away! as the blues fest tickets are so easily consumed by the cashed up baby boomers and tie died malingerers! please consider those poor folk of brisbane who so fondly remember your last gig at fisherman's wharf all those years ago!

I'd also love a Brisbane gig, but when it comes down to it, less than $90 a ticket for their Hordern Pavilion show makes it affordable enough to justify the flight to Sydney IMO. Apparently earlybird one-day tickets are still available for Bluesfest, too ...

There will be no Brisbane show, sorry, we can't please everyone, much as we'd like to.

Is thee any chance of a Paddys day gig in the UK Mr C, i keep looking and hoping

This too seems unlikely, unless a hefty last minute offer comes in.

Oh :( So sad!!! I have seen the Pogues four times in my life - and two of those were in NYC for my birthday - March 16 :) Now I am living in London for a year and I was soooo hoping to see them in the UK for once. Bad timing on my part, I guess :) I should have moved down under for a year!

Ah well. The Aussies need love and music too. :) I'll keep my fingers crossed for something in the UK between now and August. A girl can hope, right?

Hope the upcoming shows are fun for all!

Any chance of the band coming back to canada. Lots of fans here who would love to see the band playing back together.

Is Melbourne sold out? If it is, it seems possible we will add a second show on April 5, though I must stress I don't know this for sure. Stay tuned in to Medusa.
