My friend and I went to Dublin in December, it was expensive, but the I'd go there again in a heart beat, because it was the best thing ever!!!! :D

Of course it's worthwhile and fun to travel to see the Pogues, I've also been to Dublin and the UK a few times to see them. However, it would still be a thrill to see them in my home country, especially now that I didn't really expect to see them again, and they've never been as near as now since the reunion. So I'm just curious if they'll make it. And why encumber yourself with a tour of Austria and Southern Germany and then miss out on Switzerland? . (Just kidding, of course, in case you haven't noticed). Different question: is there also an Italian gig on the cards?

:D everyone hopes for a show in their own country!! I totally get you!

It's on offer and we'd like to do it if we can. There may be routing issues.

the place in Wiesen is great!! It sort of a huge open tent with great surroundings. It's a concert in a giant park or something... :) Really nice!

I'm wondering, do you (the Pogues) ever get contacted by danish festivals? Roskilde and so forth?

I couldn't say. If we have been approached by them and a booking has not resulted, either there was a scheduling or routing clash or an insufficient fee was offered. We like to work. We are not, in principle, opposed to playing anywhere. Except Montana, obviously. And Canada. And Australia. And Puckane.

Someone should invite us to South America. Please.

You need to get a venue where sitting down isn't compulsory. That was the weirdest of my Pogues gigs.

It was stupid. The band were quality that night. The stupid thing is that venue is normally standing downstairs. Er indoors took our daughter to see Katy Brand (nee Perry) on Sunday and it was standing.

I feel like I have single handedly out-whined legions of Philadelphians. I'm not long on accomplishments so I may put this on my resume. :D
