I read an article yesterday stating that the Pogues would be performing in Zagreb, Croatia, on July 14th.

Since the earliest news I could find about it was from yesterday, and the tickets are already on sale today (with much confusion and contradicting information), I'm a bit skeptical.

So, to make it short - are you guys coming to Zagreb or not?

Hi, I'm from Zagreb. My first post here. I'm very happy about this show. Two tickets already in my pocket. The Pogues had iconic status in Zagreb 20 or so years ago. Some of us were waiting this show for a very long time. Just one big request (appeal) to mister Chevron - please, do not miss Fairytale of New York from the set list (I'm only saying this because I noticed you did not play it on the american tour). This is not only my personal request, but this song still has iconic status in Zagreb. Thanks.

It is fondly cherished outside of Zagreb too, luckily for us, but we very rarely play it except in December. It's hard to get the snow going - especially outdoors - in the middle of July.

I've just realised what a gem of a gig Greenwich is gonna be , I'm always wary of festival gigs where you want to see a particular band and you get a short set , i only just realised this is not a festival but a stand alone Pogues gig in an awesome venue, Im in for sure, Mr C can you confirm this will be a full 2 hour set ?
Anyone know what the capacity for this gig is ?

I have to admit I did not know, or realize, that snow effect is inevitable part of performance of that song. Sorry about that. OK, I'm not going to bug you any more, just want you to be sure, since this is your first ever show in Croatia and God knows will you come again in some winter time, that nobody will hold it against you if you make an exception and play it without snow decoration. Pepole would be equally thrilled to hear it.

It does seem like a great venue, or an historic one, at any rate. I'm told it holds "up to" 4000 and there is no reason to suppose we will not do our full show, though it's been quite a while since it topped 100 minutes or so.
