Gee, all this talk about taxes, and Canada's being too burdensome. Me thinks the USA will be heading that way all too soon as well..... better enjoy this show while it's still affordable....

Nothing the matter with taxes per se. The difficulty arises when they try to take them from you before you've earned them, which is what witholding taxes amount to.

That is an interesting concept - taking them from you before you've earned it. At least here in the states they take it from you as you earn it. And you can always make adjustments along the way. Fair enough.

Nope...I'm in the states and often I have to pay estimated income tax on payments from health insurance companies I've not yet received...

This is my first post, so let me first introduce myself. My name is Darren and I first got interested in the Pogues when I was growing up because the band shares my last name. This curiosity led me to try a few albums. Now i'm a huge fan.

Anyways, to my post... Does this mean that the Pogues will definitely be playing in NYC on March 17th or is that date not yet confirmed as well. I'll be down in NYC that week for the Parade.

if you ask me, the REAL distractions are the things that take your concentration away from the pogues!

i'm hoping to make it up that way, myself. i've got a few navy buddies that wanna meet up and see the band i worshipped whilst i was on the seven seas. it'll be a good chance to meet up after a few years of not seeing one another, and they're a bunch of drunks so it works out well

So if for some horrible reason I don't get to see the Pogues, I still will enjoy a long overdue visit with my sister.
