I'll be coming up from New Orleans on the 16th through the 19th. I have tickets for the show on the 17th, probably gonna try to go on the 16th too. I'm assuming St. Andrews is in the neighborhood around Terminla 5? Cheers!!!

Mickey,

St. Andrews is about a 20-25 minute walk from Terminal 5. Head west on 46th St, turn right and go north up Broadway to 56th St, then turn left (west) and KEEP GOING to the far western edge of Manhattan. You may think you've missed it, but keep heading west, cross 11th Avenue, and you'll find Terminal 5 on the left, down the block. I advise getting there early (by 8pm) as the place is always oversold and you don't walk to get stuck in the awkward area to the right of the stage. See you at St. Andrews!

Cheers,
Brian

Don't doors open at 7? Or is 7 excessively early?

I've been a member here since before the last show in 2009 and I could have swore I've posted before but it says I haven't. Who knows.

I'll be at Terminal 5 tomorrow night. Heading up early and staying at a hotel just a block from St. Andrews. Would love to head over to the bar after I check in. Might be a bit early, at least that is the plan. Plan on arriving to check in at 3. I'll be heading up by myself and if you all don't mind, I will join you. I assume everyone at St Andrews will be fairly easy to spot.

I just found out that I have an extra ticket. I'll post it on the tickets forum.

i am going to be at the show tonight but had to prep for work (teaching) tomorrow so i'll be heading to the venue in a few minutes.
hope everyone has a wonderful time!

duly noted, though It's not too late...

Thanks, territa. :-)

Someone looked at me today and said "hey, it's the middle of March, aren't you supposed to be in New York City with the Pogues?"

I nearly cried.

Several things caught me surprise this year, and as a result NY just wasn't going to happen on short notice. Felt lucky enough that the PowersThatBe helped me see the boys in Boston.

Hope all the Medusans in attendance have a blast!

Another option tomorrow some of you might be interested in. A great Pogues cover band, Streams Of Whiskey, is playing at BB Kings 4:00 PM until around 6:00. BB Kings is on 42nd between 7th & 8th and a fair walk or short cab ride to Terminal 5.

I would go, but have to do the work thing during the day.

Seeing a Pogues cover band before going to see the REAL THING seems like a waste of good drinking time.

It's the Yin and the Yang. I don't see how one could resist.

Now blowing off the Pogues on Jimmy's Day to see the Wolfetones (God only knows what version) ... I'm pretty sure that's a crime.

I've seen them before they're pretty good. Good appetizer before the meal and you can just drink in BB's

Now unfortunately I have to get some work done before the trek back to the city :x

I've just realise somehow I missed the shirt stand on the first two nights. Seems now i'll be forced to battle the unruly masses jockeying for position to plunk down their dollars in the narrow hallway of Terminal 5.
Speaking of Terminal 5, to me it has that Madmax Thunderdome feel anyone else feel that way? With the three tiers and masses hanging over the rails and some sitting dangling their feet. Curious what Mr C thinks of the venue.
