Am off to NYC on sunday 13th for a weeks break!!!
:D

While my week will be spent happily chatting to new folk and hanging out in strange little bars, and many people in many bars on the 17th itself...

Is there any plan/way to know who's from this forum when we get to st Andrews? For example i will have a big green hat on, maybe if you guys wore something green for the day?

Going to have to catch the Ireland V England rugby on saturday 19th too, be rude not to find an Irish bar and get heckled a bit.
:)

Fair to assume most of NYC will have green on...

Hey all!!
I'll be coming up from New Orleans on the 16th through the 19th. I have tickets for the show on the 17th, probably gonna try to go on the 16th too. I'm assuming St. Andrews is in the neighborhood around Terminla 5? Cheers!!!

Ahhh yes, the old Pogues come down. It's bad. I'm already dreading it! The only good thing is, that after the show, I get to spend four days with my sister who I have only seen once (for a very brief visit) in the last 20 years! So we have some fun and catching up to do. That will help. You'll be alright soon enough I hope..have a few drinks at the weekend and start planning a trip to the summer time festivals!

Unfortunately I'm now learning what the "Pogues come down" is all about...

Wednesday's show was amazing. The entire band was excellent and "Thousands..." was absolutely incredible.

I don't think I've ever had that. After every show, there's usually a good few days of constantly thinking, "Yay! I've seen The Pogues!" And being very excited and cheery. A sort of natural high?

That's a good approach :D I know of a few others who have the Pogues come down, Phro37 I believe has had it in the past. I'm going to take a leaf out of your book and see if it works for me!

Good luck. Lawdy we all need a bit of cheer in these current times. If you can keep The Pogues buzz going for a while it makes the world seem a better place. Hang on to it as long as you can...

heheheh yeah i've had it a few times. the more one is addicted the worse it tends to get after each show/tour. but like any addiction what helps is another good dose. damn this cycle...

also, i'm guessing st. andrew's is gonna be the place. i'll be there each night. terry, if you're there i'm sure i'll recognize you. jane and carmen, too. anyone else if you see me and i'm looking lost (before the drinking starts) please say hey. i'm assuming it's cold still so i'll have on a grey work-type jacket. if i'm sans jacket i'll be sure to have on my tattooed elbows (compass roses on each) and forearms (cherry blossoms and a sparrow).

Has anyone heard of an upcoming date in Syracuse at the end of March? Thought I saw something on TV that they will be playing around here on March 26.
