Tickets in hand...a large supply of booze standing by...excitement building....clock ticking...it's SO apropos that, just like their best songs, the thought of going to see them for perhaps the last time brings forth a LOT of different emotions.

I expect to be weeping and dancing a jig of joy simultaneously for much of St James Cagney Day.

Anyone have an extra ticket for either Boston 11 or Boston 12 show?
I would be more interested in a GA Floor Ticket but I won't be picky.

I'm willing to pay for it of course.

Thanks!

O'B, are you going to meet up with us at St. Andrew's first? It will be me, CdnSteve, Territa, Lil'C, Carmen IrishRose and a host of other Medusans I suspect....

Mr. Chevron,

I just wanted to thank you and the rest of the band for including Detroit on this tour, and for a terrific show Friday night. It was a great concert and will be fondly remembered for a very long time.

VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION about House of Blues.
I bought a ticket for the friday show at Boston. 1st level ticket were sold out so I bought a 2nd level ticket. Is there any chance to do some moshing there?
If the answer is yes, as I hope, I'd better to buy some contact lenses!

I saw the Pogues last time they were in Boston at the House of Blues, and other than breaking a rib and f'in up a good pair of shoes had a fantastic time. Having said that i was, and will be again this year, on the first level. I saw Gogol Bordello at the House and was on the third level, not something you want to do with a few drinks in, I'm not sure how much moshing you're gonna get in on the second floor.
Talking of Boston, where are people meeting up? McGreevys might be a little cliche but it's not a bad bar, other than that it's all the Fenway Faves, or maybe the place opposite beerworks that does really good cheap bbq and has a brew pub downstairs.
It would seem from Spider's comments that this really could be the last time, so let's make it a good one, and hope that the "notoriously unreliable"(Billboard) Mr. MacGowan brings his A game......

No Moshing is done on level 2 It is essentially a narrow wrap around the edges of the floor level Sort of U Shaped (its best to get there early) Get your spot and make friends w/ those around you as you made need beer/bathroom breaks and help out others and same for you eh?

Re Pre Show I will put a litle pre show gathering at Mcgreevys Thread and hopefully get by their tomorrow and ask for an area near the back for Medusa for both nights if 10 plus post Advantage No Line Fun Place and Cool Ownership!
BTW saw G/B play their last yr they are fun and coming back

Yes, I am planning on it. My friend Missy, Gregg the Driver and Mrs. (Designated) Driver will be there too.

I've never been to 9:30 club before and am not from the D.C. area.

Does anyone have some advice as to good bars in the area for before/after the show on Wednesday?
