Visiting my son in NY for the show on the 16th. He is 24 now and am really looking forward to going. My wife and I are seeing the Sawdoctors and Dervish in Boston. What a March! St. Andrews Pub a good place?

After seeing it's reappearance at some of the Christmas shows, what's the likelihood of "Matilda" being heard come Chicago? I, for one, am hoping the chances are high!

Well, we haven't done the set list yet, but it will certainly be up for consideration, as they say in the Oscars ads.

Same thought here ... would love to hear " Matilda " live ...

Just watched the Discovery launch from the cowfield out the back of the house, which reminds me, there's T minus 20 days until I have an appointment with the Pogues! Now I'm starting to imagine the fun, and the anticipation of waiting for the band to take the stage. What I loved most when I went to see them, was that there is no waiting for your favorite song, they are all favorites! There is no warming up until you get to the good ones, as they are ALL good ones! And I really just love how the Pogues come bolting straight out of the stalls with 'Streams of Whiskey' and then it's just non-stop fun after that. Seriously getting excited now.

This is the bit I'm looking forward to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brwkvwBCEq0 and the rest!!! HOORRAAYYYYY

most of the midtown pubs are packed on Mar 17th - there won't be any place for a quiet pint....looking forward to a great time, none the less! Anyone get a confirmation from IrishRose?

Oh, you lucky fucker

The last thing i jokingly said to you as we left The Canterbury at christmas was see you in New York..

Oh you lucky bastard

Hey Colm,

I think we were both joking.

But the more I kept looking at the dates on the front page, the more I thought - I am gonna do this one way or the other. I hope them crowds in New York are as good as Dublin and Brixton :D

Except one thing - remember back in December when neither of us had tickets for Monday . . . I am travelling to NYC without a ticket for Jimmy's Day.

Just 2 weeks now till we go and I can't wait. Text me your address I will send you a postcard
