Looks like all shows except Detroit and Washington DC still have tix available, at least according to ticket master.

I used to live in DC and now am a NJ resident, but work requires me to go to the DC office 2x per month, so I stay downtown often (in fact, I'm in the DC office as I'm writing this). Usually I stay at the Comfort Inn - Convention Center http://tinyurl.com/62sf8t8 which isn't too fancy, but isn't bad either - it's a converted apartment building. I get a discount booking through our corporate travel, but a quick peek for that weekend in March says the lowest rate is $153. Last night I stayed in the oldest hotel in downtown DC, the Harrington http://hotel-harrington.com/. As one would imagine, it's a funky old place comparable to hotels in Europe (odd layouts, etc.) and a little shabby on the edges, but it's clean and fantastically located for touring DC - a block from the Metro Center subway, walking distance from the Smithsonian Museums/Mall area, etc. Their regular room rates are $125 for a small double (take the word small seriously) and $145 for a small queen (which I stayed in and was quite comfortable).
Can't comment on accomodations in Charm City - I never stayed in a hotel there, just up and back from DC.
Hope that helps.
I decided to stay in baltimore and transit back and forth. Got a ticket for the baltimore symphony orchestra's celtic performance on Sunday the 13th. Not too sure about showing up drunk to THAT show though...
Go on fro, I dare ya! I fookin' double-dare ya!

I agree Phro, getting mildly nervous here as well.....no sign of tix yet even though it's 2 months away, I like my tickets in hand (or at will call!)

The pant shitting is well underway in my house. 1) over tickets 2) over plane journey 3) because I don't get out much these days (by choice) and NY is big and scary 4) who's going to look after the cats in the way I like them to be looked after 4) Will Shane be o.k. on the day 5) 3 non Pogues fans are coming with me.
Apart from that I'm really excited!

Will all be fine:
1, Ticketmaster won't even post or email to the uk, so we have to fly thousands of miles to pick up at the door, in the good faith they will be there.
2, Last time we flew out it was a whole 40 minutes after the ash cloud air ban, we also have BA strikes, and one snowflake closes all UK airports.
3, It's not as scary as many areas of south london, or a night out in Reading Berkshire, or Slough, or chuffing Swindon (never go there, kids on leads, dogs in prams).
4, We have two cats, if we don't feed them they go outside, kill summink, and eat that (why do we buy cat food?).
4, (part two) He'll be as drunk as everyone else so no-one else will notice.
5, Two Pogues fans will be leaving with you.
