I don't want to jinx anything so I'll just say one word -- weather.

Juss sayin'......

Some here may know.

Tempting fate. DISASTER! Potentially.

OK, I'm REALLY looking forward to the Chicago show, but I have to grumble a bit about the fact that I ended up paying MORE through the pre-order system than I would have buying directly from the venue. Pre-order tickets were $40/ea plus $7.40 per ticket in service fees. Just looked at the Congress' website, and they're only charging a $3/ticket service fee. Not a big difference, but the real kicker is the "Buy 2" special, where you can get two tickets @ $60/pair plus a single $5 service fee!! That ends up being about $30 cheaper than what I paid for a pair. I know $30 isn't huge money or anything, but it's at least a couple of rounds of drinks!!

Oh well, what's done is done, and maybe this post will help someone else save some money. Come on March...
Have you heard about the big strong man?

Bought my Detroit tickets the same way, and they were in my hand in Canada only a week later. Just ordered another for a friend of a friend, hopefully I get it as fast.

Looks like there is a brewpub(Royal Oak Brewery?) next to the theater in Royal Oak? Anyone thinking of pre-show pints there?

We'll probably be at the brew pub, that Gusoline Alley sounds good too.

Thanks for that. It was a lovely suprise. Does anyone know or hazzard a guess if the New York gigs will sell out? I probably wont be able to shell out till after xmas for our two tickets?

Three shows. I'd say you're safe enough. Dylan only did two.

Of which, Mr. C have you heard Dylan's version of 'Here Comes Santa' from his Xmas album? Sounds like him and a Pogues tribute band. Maybe you guys should do an album with him. He can still write songs, and wouldn't show u over an hour late and piss off everyone in Newcastle. That said can't wait til you guys come to Boston in the spring.....

I hated "Here Comes Santa" and gave my Dylan Xmas album away to Paul Scully. I now think it was a rash judgement but all the same, I find it hard to listen to his voice on that album. Strange, cause I loved his previous two albums. But yes, I certainly noticed that Bobby D has joined Mr Springsteen in the Pogues tribute band corner.

Yeah Springsteen def did a Pogues like turn in American Land on Live in (appropriately enough) Dublin . Talking of great things from New Jersey, I'm psyched that Titus Andronicus are supporting you guys in the US, they're fantastic, I'll actually be there for the support act for once. I was hoping for William Elliot Whitmore, but Titus is just as awesome a choice. Good luck with the rest of the Brit tour, and your punctuality- challenged singer. See you in Boston.....

Most of the album was kind of a musical joke, so far as I'm concerned, but I thought his Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas really got to the pain at the heart of that song.

Shit. General admission floor tickets already sold out for the Boston show on 3/12. Anyone want to sell? I can't watch the show from the balcony!
