Just received my tickets for Detroit. :D
Is it March yet?
It would be nice if Flogging Molly changed to the Saturday night, it would make for a great weekend!

Another vote for Baltimore. A great city, a good venue and an airport that's somehow reasonable to fly in and out of.

Three shows. I'd say you're safe enough. Dylan only did two.

Flogging Molly just changed their Detroit date from March 4th to March 3rd. Leave it to Shane and the Mighty Pogues to drive the imitators out of town! Perhaps the F. Molly gang have seen "Straight To Hell" and were afraid of a spaghetti western showdown with the Boys From The County Hell in the streets of Detroit. I'll bring a rake just in case.

I always interpreted the word "rake" in Rake At The Gates Of Hell to be this definition:
An immoral or dissolute person; a libertine

instead of:
A long-handled implement with a row of projecting teeth at its head, used especially to gather leaves or to loosen or smooth earth

Then again, either makes sense, and I suppose you could bring either.

After seeing the poor reviews of the Dublin show last night I am a little afraid for how he's going to be for the rest of the shows and in particular NYC on 15th March! I know it's a risk I take, and I feel very sorry for the rest of the band, and of course the paying fans. Shane has a disease, and I guess it goes untreated, I have to have sympathy for that too. I'm sure he never wanted it to be bad last night. Sad all round. I'm just glad that I got to see him in Pompano 2009 and he was in amazing form. Keeping my fingers crossed for the rest of the UK tour and East Coast in spring.

I have such respect for the band putting up with what they do...I've never seen them live before and we have tix for NYC on March 16th. Fingers crossed that everything holds together for that show to happen. Realistically it may be our only shot of ever seeing The Pogues.

My first time reading this thread, and had a good chuckle at that one O'B. :D
Really no worries man. Just might make it up, but $73.45 per.
And even after the trip to San Francisco, this would probably be the one where tickets cost more than airfare

A wonderful industrial blue collar city in graceful decay. I was born and raised there. The show will be at a place that is within walking distance of the touristy Inner Harbor, Fells Point (lots of bars, food, and unconventional people), and a short taxi to Federal Hill (restaurants and some shops), and Mt. Vernon (more bars, a bit more up-scale, and more shopping). Most of you will likely want to walk over to Fells Point, go to Berthas, John Stevens, the Cat's Eye Pub, or whatever that other Irish place is. The inner Harbor also has a high priced Irish place that is very nice and will probably have a bunch of Pogues fans eating at the bar. I had to pick between the two and picked D.C. because that's where I am and it was my birthday. So, cheers to all you Baltamorons, and for all who visit, enjoy my city. :D
What kind of fuckery is this?
