Folks who (like me) got shut out of the Detroit presale -- The theater is indeed holding its own presale, as noted by mgleason above, but that particular link doesn't seem to be live. This goes directly to the presale. A password is required, and it is ROMTLIVE

Coincidentally, March 3 is my wife's birthday as well. However, unlike good husband Clash, Mrs. run will not be joining me. BUT, the points I'm losing on the spousal chart are replaced by those gained on the parental front as I'm bringing my daughter for her first Pogues show. Life's all about balance.

I have booked my flights to New York only to find that pre-sale has finished, will have to keep my fingers crossed for when they go on general sale.

The front page of Medusa says general sale - Friday 27th November, however Friday is the 26th, does anyone know what time? Ticketbastard says 12pm, so I guess on sale noon Friday NY time? Naturally I would prefer to get along to the St Jimmy's day gig but either of the other NY shows would be good.

The links for the general sale of tickets for the Washington DC, Chicago, Detroit and Boston shows have been added to the frontpage (and the date has been fixed - it is November 26 indeed). New York and Baltimore links to be added shortly, I hope.

TOUR - Philly

Post Fri Nov 26, 2010 4:48 am

There was no originally scheduled Philly date a few years back but one was added later. It would make sense georaphically. Also the band is popular in town, but getting the right price at the right venue is probably proving difficult. Moreover, certain band members cannot endure a grueling tour schedule so hitting up every city with more than 100k residents is not likely. I don't minf driving to Baltimore for a night.......but I still don't get Detroit. What the fuck is up with that? Is Eminem gonna' open?

Certainly it does make sense geographically. I feel for you guys really I do, but you all have to give it a rest already. NYC is 90 miles north, Baltimore 100 miles south. Just real this thread. Fans come from Canada, Texas, Florida, hell some fly across the country to see a show. Just be happy their playing this close to you, get in your car enjoy a road trip up or down 95 !

Are there any good pubs in Royal Oak Michigan? Local hotels? How's the transportation system after midnight? Tell us all.
When I heard Detroit, I didn't expect the suburbs!
Cheers.

Lots of good pubs in R.O., a very 'happening' area. Hotels? Nothing nearby that I'm aware of except maybe a Red Roof Inn or something. Transit system? Virtually non-existent. This is Car City...rent one.
Suburbs? Yeah, too bad they're not playing downtown...better venues, hotels, easier transport, hipper bars.
