I was lucky enough to get into an aftershow for last year's Manchester gig - Shane wasn't there and although there were other band members there, they were all talking to friends and family and I felt it wasn't my place to approach if it was one of the few times of the year they get to see their nearest n dearest...if you get me. I may just mooch down to the venue early. Are we talking 3pm sort of time or more 10 in the morning?
And Patrice - although most venues tend to have a no camera/video recording policy it's pretty rare that anyone actually bothers taking cameras and the like off people. It'd have to be a very mean person to even think about wanting to confiscate stuff like that.

I don't really know what time the bands bus(es) roll into town, so I couldn't tell you. I also don't know their situation, it might be a possibility that the band spend their time in a hotel before heading straight to the show. What I can say from previous experience is that if you mooch around near the tour bus, someone will be able to tell you something.

10am! are you serious

who in their right mind would arrive for work 11 hours early......err if you read the thread regarding the Newcastle gig, it may give some indication as to what time Shane will turn up

For what it's worth, Shane is seldom at the venue until about ten minutes before we go on stage and typically does not leave until chucking out time.

It snowed for three hours here yesterday evening. This morning it is very very deep. It's going to be fun getting to Birmingham today, but I'm sure we'll get there.
Philip, I know it's a bit late, but how about putting Turkish Song of The Damned back in the set as it's my favourite song and it is probably the last time I'll see you guys play (please, please, grovel grovel etc)?
See you later.

Well I just spent 7 frustrating hours at Aberdeen airport attempting to get to Birmingham for tonights show but alas I was thwarted by the feckin snow . So sadly I shall be unable to attend . Absolutely gutted as have been a big fan since about 1984 and this will the first tour I've missed . Judging by the reviews of the tour so far I'm going to be missing a crackin good night . Oh well , c'est la vie !! I'll have to dig out my old bootleg cassettes ,a vhs I have of The Fleadh in Finsbury park from way back, a couple of dvd's and have my own Pogue night at home .
Have a great time tonight you lucky people , I'll be there spirit !!

It was to be my second pogues gig after my disapoitment of my 1st gig in manchester 2006 (supposed to be one of their worst) so this is another disapoitment !
Enjoy the show to tonight !

Sad to hear this Patrice. No one deserves to see a great Pogues gig more than you.
I was in Manchester last night and the band was on top form.
Sadly like your self I have a ticket for to night but will miss it due to the weather.
