PLEASE! Post your gig reviews to the appropriate threads in Setlists and Show Discussion. And if you cannot find your reviews posted to this thread, search for them there. :) Thanks!

Set list 2010 Christmas Tour

Post Sat Dec 11, 2010 9:50 am

Is the setlist the same for all the shows. I saw one that Mr Chevron posted. Quite a few tunes there I've not seen live before. I'm so looking forward to Birmingham next weekend. Went last year and it was amazing. The whole band were on top form. Phil did some interesting dancing and Shane didn't seem too drunk either, just nicely merry!

I live in France, and I will see the Pogues for the second time of my life (the first was in Guildford in 2005) in Brixton (december 20)... I read the list of the songs, and... for the second time, I won't listen "Boys from the County Hell". What a pity... I'm very sad, this song is one of the most "energetic" of the band. I hope one day it will be possible to be here when Shane will sing "and we broke his fuckin' balls" !!!!

Outside The Olympia the unofficial shirts on sale were about a tenner and said "Farewell Tour" + Dates.

Official shirts were 30 euro and no mention of Farewell.

I'm so sorry, how infuriating. Someone else earlier said that a printed out confirmation email would be enough to get access to the show: I hoped you'd see that post. Anyway, I hope you give 'em hell - they're incompetent and useless.

Anyone else going to Manchester on friday? Just out of interest, like...

Regarding the gig...two questions (for anyone to answer) - anyone know of a viable way to meet Shane before/after the concert for a quick picture or two? I've heard he leaves venues pretty sharpish but don't know how true this is...

and secondly - I've recently got into the habit of trying to nab things from the stage (e.g. setlists) - is it up to the band whether fans are given these after the show has ended or do the venue decide?

RE meeting Shane, I think heading to the venue super early and hanging around is your best bet, however Phil has said that Manchester is one of the places where they hold aftershows, so you could chance it and enquire. In my experience, it has been venue staff and techs that have handed out swag after the gig.

In this day and age you don't need a ticket to get into a show. Just tell them you haven't received it yet and take the credit card you bought it with. They have all these records and the details linked to the barcode on the ticket. They can re-print them there and them and lock anyone else using the ticket once your in....... for a note I've been to a few shows without tickets and never had an issue
