I live in the states and I have to beg to get any of the great music you all have in Europe. I have seen the Pogues in concert here once but to try and find any of their music is next to impossible. We do have Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly but that is about it. I vacation over there around concerts I want to see. I had to miss out this year due to illness. So everyone have a great time and dance a dance for me!

My missus is due to have twins early December (selfish %£$&^"!), so travelling isnt an option this year. :(

Mr C ?

I can forsee no circumstances in which shows will be added to this tour. Good luck with the Twins 8)

Little update, our twins, Lucas and Dylan, were delivered into the world on 7/7/10 safe and sound...although they are 9wks early they are doing well but will be kept in hospital for a few months...after all, you woldnt take your Christmas turkey out on Halloween...

Upshot is, that I will be Dublin for the Wednesday night gig...and to be brutally honest, I cant wait !!

Life is good in our house at the moment :D

I'm travelling from Brussels for the Saturday night show in B'ham.. only after buying the tickets did I realise it has a 6pm opening and a 10.00pm curfew due to some disco on afterwards.. I've never seen Shane onstage before 10pm ..ever!

is this a recipe for disaster.. or at least an extremely short gig?

The gig will be the same length as all the others on the tour - it will just start earlier!

Early showtimes are not new to us - in Japan, showtimes are almost always at least as early as Birmingham. And our very first US gig, at a college on Long Island, New York, was at something like 11am. Personally, I'm all in favour of early shows. As Frank Sinatra used to say before his recording sessions "Let's get this done, fellas, I've got company for dinner".

I think the first reunion gig in Birmingham was on a weekend night in the academy and it was curfewed as are all shows on those nights of the week in that venue, its been like that for years, it stands out as probably my favorite Pogues gig ever and its you can stay in the venue and have a few nightcaps, cant wait as always

Have your fun now my friend. People ask me in fun, which one is the evil one, but parents of twins know there ain't no non-evil twin. If I were to transport myself back in time to when my twin girls were new and would I take a night out -- even to see the Pogues -- .... Well, I would have done it in a heartbeat if the opportunity presented itself. But I don't know what exactly I would have gotten out of it given the sleep deprivation. So enjoy it because you have one tough year ahead of you. And take care of the missus too, because its one hell of a lot of work with the both of them. And likely she's already been through a lot.

That said, congratulations! Raise them well.

Slainte.

My ticket arrived for the Dublin concert on the 8th- I'm so excited! I think I'll be one of the youngest in the audience, and probably the only Australian, so if any of you see a blonde Australian girl going mental, feel free to say hi- especially Mr. Chevron! :D

there will probably be a thread dedicated to a pre gig meet up in london just before the tour begins, but there's always talk of the canterbury arms. that or the beehive (if i'm not mistaken).
