I stayed above a pub on the quays last year. .. turned out to be proper alright as it goes. The bar downstairs was really decent too. Dont get me wrong, it was just a B & B but it did the job really well.. Hold on, what was it called??? I can't think for the life of me.. Fr McGreer had a drink with me there before hand ... Can you remember Gollum?

Twin or Double rooms in the Travelodge Rathmines are €29 a night
Rathmines is 15 mins walk to the Olympia or about 5 mins in a taxi, loads of cafes - resteraunts in the area
and loads of good boozers to visit (you have to pass Slatterys,Cassidys,the Long Hall, Whelans amongst others just travelling to the Olympia)

I ordered tickets for Killarney on the day they went on sale. Unfortunately Ticketmaster does not give any information on the dispatch status. Has any of you already received tickets for Killarney? I fear they got lost.

Birmingham Show December 18th

I'm travelling from Brussels for the Saturday night show in B'ham.. only after buying the tickets did I realise it has a 6pm opening and a 10.00pm curfew due to some disco on afterwards.. I've never seen Shane onstage before 10pm ..ever!

is this a recipe for disaster.. or at least an extremely short gig?

The gig will be the same length as all the others on the tour - it will just start earlier!

Early showtimes are not new to us - in Japan, showtimes are almost always at least as early as Birmingham. And our very first US gig, at a college on Long Island, New York, was at something like 11am. Personally, I'm all in favour of early shows. As Frank Sinatra used to say before his recording sessions "Let's get this done, fellas, I've got company for dinner".

In Hamburg they startet about 7.30 and it was a great show so don't worry;-)
