Where, in ANY of that, did I say 'media experts'? I didn't say that. My point is that the people that give the info to the media (as opposed to the media thenselves) are saying stuff. I'm not a shit journo, just confused - I try and get a better understanding of what's going on and a load of shit comes down on me. I wouldn't mind - but it's got sod all to do with journalism. I doubt the population as a whole care much about the band - I was trying to find out for my own benefit because it sounded to me as though the future (at least as far as gigs are concerned) is uncertain

Christ, around the time between Peace & Love and Hell's Ditch, about all the articles I read on the Pogues here in America pretty much concentrated on just that. It was very frustrating as I wanted to know more about the band other than Shane's drinking.

Yeah - that seems about right. Welcome to the forum! Thick skin recommended, but far from mandatory. You'll be able to identify the 'shit disturbers' before long...
take a breath, step back, read and enjoy. All will be revealed - just not according to any specific timetable - of yours or "the media". and really - isn't that all part of the fun? Here's hoping for many more shows!
