Does the mentioning of a first phase of news of mainland europe shows imply that there might be even more dates to confirm?

The future is full of uncertainty and mystery. Who knows what it holds? But in addition to Philip's comment, you should take note of this part of the front page:

The Pogues have confirmed these dates in Germany. Keep checking back for more!

That's great news...my choice will be Hamburg. It is a very nice atmosphere and if weather is good it hopefully will be a great night. I still hope, that there will be an additional show in my area Munster, Dusseldorf or Cologne

Good night !

Thats great news.....more Pogues gigs are always great news. I think my only hope was when those tour dates that were quickly not published was that they would not be festival gigs but indoor headline shows.

Maybe its just me but I just feel that bands dont play gigs anymore from May through to Aug/sept unless its a festival . . . personally I don't really rate festivals - although obviously I realise from the bands point of view it brings their music to a wider audience - i just hate the overpriced ticket for a lot of crap you dont want to see, acts overlapping, warm overpriced beer, getting lost in the middle of nowhere etc etc

....suddenly germany has started sounding like an adventure in itself - at least the beer wont be watered down so I will get down to Millets in the morning to check out sleeping bags,

I think this "festival" in Berlin is a series of concerts during the summer, so it will be only The Pogues + 1 or 2 support bands. And the Spandau Citadel is a really great place for a gig.

Yes, that's right. As last year, the six 2010 summer shows on mainland europe are a mixture of indoor and outdoor events. I don't know at which point they all got lumped together as "festivals" but it's just a convenient tag.

Spandau? Any relation?

I really hope Denmark is among the countries.

Really, it is about time...

If some danish bookers are hassling you, and won't pay enough, let me know and I'll give them a word or two. Come on then... The Pogues to Denmark!!!
