Does anybody know if there is a support act and how late The Pogues will be on stage?

Please just tell me when The Pogues are coming to Canada...the last time I saw them was in Montreal in 1993-1994... I don't remember on account of I was very fucked up...but Spider Stacy had taken over as lead singer, which was cool beacause it was still the pogues... but it was missing the most important element, which is, SHANE MACGOWAN!!! So with that said...when the fuck are The Pogues with Shane macGowan as lead singer going to grace Canada with a tour??? What are we, CHOPPED LIVER? We desperately want and need you!!

Sincerely,

Forgotten Irish!!

Seeing what's going on there at the moment, one can only hope it's going to happen at all.
My thoughts are with the people of Russia effected by this terrible fire and smog and suffering bitter losses.

Was surprised though seeing the prices for the event, between 44 and 250 GBP (50 to 300 Euro).
And the first rows are VIP and "Super VIP" seats for the well dressed nouveau riche, which also means there will be seating.
Doesn't sound to me like a fitting environment for a Pogues show, but then, what do I know...

I hear you, saw 'em then in Toronto then, but have, um, rather limited memory (like, i remember arriving at the venue...)

Does anyone know if there's still a way to get tickets to Drammen?

Any reports from any of the gigs so far ? Anybody ? Would love to hear how they're going, set-lists, that kind of thing. To get Cait on stage for " I'm a man..." and " Fairytale..." would be just that, a fairytale. Fuckin' brilliant. Who would have thought it ? Nearly twenty years ( jaysus!!) on from when they were last all together the boys from the county hell would all still be here, present and correct ? By their own admission life on the road as a Pogue was, eh, colourful, shall we say. They have seen many a mere mortal down, here's to 'em. You can't kill a Pogue !

Looking through the photos from all you good souls I have to say how well Shane looks. Trimmer and with a decent hair cut he looks like an older version of himself from his heyday. Which, amazingly, is exactly what he is. Ha !

Seemingly some of the earlier German gigs weren't quite up to some people's expectations. That's probably to be expected. You can't turn genius on and off like a tap. But it 's worth waiting for. The fact the guys are up there doing it is something in itself. Playing a Pogues set must be like running a marathon, especially for guys around the 50 mark. I wonder have any of the shows been recorded off the sound board for a possible release ? Maybe not.
