For pre-show gatherings:

There's an Irish pub called Rathlins directly at the Schloss! Look for the crossroads at the Landgericht, the Rathlins is opposite to the Landgericht building.

I'd recommend The James, a brilliant British Pub at the Hörster Strasse. It's a five minute walk from the concert ground though. Check out http://www.thejames.de

And as I said, after the concert I recommend the Sputnikhalle with lots of 80s Indie/(Post-)Punk tunes! :D

Guess the Rathlins will be VERY busy when Pogues play across the street! ;-) So I'd go for the James but unfortunately I'll be busy until 18:30 anyway...have fun, anyway!

Jesus, it's been 20 years since my first POGUES show and 5 since my last. Am so looking forward to tomorrow.
Hopefully we'll arrive early enough to check in to RATHLINS for a drink or two before the show.

@Funkfuzzi: Saw the Ceili Family at the "Althagener Brücke" last Saturday for the 1st time. Not bad at all. Hope to see more of you guys soon.

Our "maestro de accordeone" (and second singer) was missing...so it wasn't the Ceilis with full force... Have to see us again...maybe in the near future ??

...on tour-a-loo:
28.08. KULTURSCHEUNE KAMEN
04.09. SEEGEFLÜSTER, Hagen
02.10. OISIN KELLY GALLERY, GELSENKIRCHEN
28.10. LINDENBRAUEREI UNNA
27.11. HAGEN ROCKS PARTY #13, KuZ Pelmke Hagen

Think the running order mentions the Pogues at about 20.30 !

We will check out Rathlins and the Bierstand on the Schlossplatz !

See you there !!!

Cheers !!!
