I'd say the guys and girls on the East Coast of the U.S are pissing themselves laughing at us smug fuckers who thought we were in for the gig of the year :(

Oh well, who is playing Paddy's night in the Dog & Sausage anyway?

The Assembly rooms Leamington Spa is available. Its a cracking venue, holds about 1500, up close and personal. Some well known bands are starting to play at this realatively new venue.

Big day in Brum, paddys day now, the Rainbow warehouse could be a possibility, i believe they can shut adderley street down and give it a 5000 capacity, the Council would love it, all the security would be in place for the procession , worth a look

Seems like this guys organizing it all and the Rainbow is set up for a gig

We did actually have Hammersmith Apollo on hold but so too did another act and unfortunately they were quicker to the draw than we were and snapped it up just before we did. Sorry that I raised false hopes, I'm quite pissed off about it myself.

What kind of management do you have there?

Is Joey Cashman back? :D

I wouldn't say pissing myself...but a little chuckle would be understandable, wouldn't it?

Thats a real shame :( I know Phillip wanted to circumnavigate the alternative venue bit, but I wonder if their management looked at the Coronet for a couple of nights (its a good medium sized venue) - It was only a thought that with such a short time to go versus the word getting out there etc that to sell out the vast 8000 odd capacity apollo might be a tall order......thats not to say there arent legions of loyal fans who would go, but other take it or leave it people may be washing their hair etc . . . . me, I havent any left so would probably have to go to the gig.

It's a pitty you cannot play in Londen. Glad we did not book a flight. London is nice but it's so much nicer with The Pogues. Maybe it's time to introduce St. Patrick's Day to the Dutch! Please come over to Holland. We've lots of venues that would be suitable: Paradiso in Amsterdam, Tivoli in Utrecht and De Pul in Uden. :D
