Philip, thank you for the confirmation that did indeed turn up at the festival . . . we were quite worried round here. If it had been in Dallas, I'd have been out driving the city looking for him myself!

And yeah, you're right about New Orleans -- definitely not a place to wander around lost.

No one can say Shane isn't Rock n' Roll. I mean is there any other city in the world to mysteriously disappear in, besides New Orleans??? Just when you think the Pogues are verging on sober, middle-aged respectability (a newbie just posted a clip from YouTube of Fiesta with the comment "Cookie Pan Destruction") Shane always keep you guessing. Hope all is ok, and Spider, Phil are all recovered from the scare. Mr. Fearnley will have to add another chapter to the story.....

PS-I thought Shane had a personal assistant (his cousin?, not JoeyC) on these Pogues tours??

Damn I missed this all day as I was engrossed in NFL happenings here. Great news that he's alright. I will say early on when the dates were announced the thought of Shane in NOLA especially this time of year (probably second largest crowds after Mardi Gras) had me thinking he'd be a bit more saucy the usual, but go missing?! I didn't picture that. Did Joey Cashman forget to change time on his watch last night? With the time change he should have been early

Thank you Mr C, just a little humour after a worried day.

my godson hung out with him all morning. they had a great time found the gig and all's well.
he even gave him my shirt to change into. it's like they knew eachother for years. a couple of good lads.
and lotsa love.

Glad to hear Shane turned up , all well that ends well & all that.

in the spirit of honoring my godson spiros' good name. he wasn't the fkr who took shane out on halloween and left him on bourbon street.
but the beautiful lad who found him the next morning became great friends gave him some clothes tried to find his hotel but finally got them into a taxi and to the show safe sound and nearly in time.

So did Spiro find Shane in a hotel or was he searching for a hotel with him in vain? Now I am getting lost like Shane.
