Hi, I went to a clubnight at the Birmingham Academy last night and there are posters up all over the place stating that Patsy Watchorn is playing an exclusive support slot for The Pogues at their Birmingham show. The poster for the show has a large picture of Patsy from the 60s and a very small picture of Shane similar to that featured on The Snake. A lot of people at the clubnight were getting very excited about it and the DJ even played the recent Dubliners version of The Ferryman in celebration of Patsy's forthcoming support slot. I hadn't heard about this support slot anywhere else, whats it all about????

Is it true that Patsy Watchorn was in the crowd at the recent Leeds gig? A few friends I know say that they met him in a pub before the gig and he told them that he had asked the Dubs promoter not to book any gigs in December so that he could make some of the Pogues shows.

Whilst in the venue, before the Pogues came onstage, I heard the chant (to the tune of the Dubliners/Popes classic Nancy Whiskey) 'Watchorn Watchorn Patsy Watchorn, Watchorn Watchorn, Patsy Oh'
