I know the Oct west coast shows haven't even happened yet, but does anyone know anything re: any shows in NYC next March. I'm thinking of making the trip over this time if they happen. Thanks!

Patience, The Pogues have 2 Tours scheduled they haven't even started yet. I would say.... just taking a wild guess here, March dates wouldn't be put out until at least late Dec or Jan 2010. Just a guess though.

I believe that in years past the NYC march dates had been announced by November, but I could be wrong. Hope they're posted soon as I haven't seen them live since Shane came back.

Maybe Mr C has an update? Are we near the time for Spring US announcements?

We have not approved the Spring dates yet. Stay tuned.

Thank you Mr. C. Here's hoping Baltimore makes the tour once again. If not, a visit to D.C., Philadelphia, or New York will be in order.

It is getting to be that time again. I still have to go through another New England winter first, but then, hopefully there will be a Pogues show to look forward to when spring finally arrives.

Looking to make it 4 years in a row now up in Boston. Its becoming a regular tradition for me and my co-workers.

Mr C, I hope you and all The Pogues had a good year. I see you all did quite a few tours this year.

Much like everyone else, I'm anxiously awaiting news of the spring dates. Having caught the band for the first time in KC last month, I can't wait to see them again! Kinda hoping Chicago makes a return to the list...

Having seen the band in all four places, I gotta go with DC's 9:30 Club as the preferred venue. Not that the others were bad, mind, just that I really love the 9:30.

Chicago or St. Louis would be great!

9:30 is my favorite venue. New York is my favorite city (because it's a local show).

I'd try my best to do all 4 cities depending on days of the week. NYC & philly are the easiest.

I don't like the 9:30 Club because I believe they are in league with a scalper mafia. Its a big racket. I also don't like the condescending attitude of some of the "regulars" I have happened upon. And their turkey sandwich is dry.

I enjoyed going to NYC to see the Pogues a couple of years back. Roseland Ballroom was a great venue.

As much as I like Baltimore, I think Rams Head Live is a mediocre venue. The railing that runs around teh main floor has to go. I wonder how many people have had bones broken on those metal rails?

Got to contest you on the 9:30. Although it is not the same as the original 9:30 Club (930 F st.) it is a really good place - GREAT accoustics, good sight lines, good bars... Not sure what your "scapler mafia" thing is relating to, but if you get your tickets when they go onsale, then the whole thing is moot.

Actually, I did go to a show there a couple years ago (Joe Jackson, as a matter of fact), and arrived without my tickets. I was able to procure replacements with not much difficulty at the box office. Not a mafioso scene in the least.

I do agree with the Baltimore assesment - I'm a big fan of Charm City, but the Ram's Head Live venue is sub-par.

The Electric Factory in Philly is a pretty good place to see a show (only was there once - for the Pogues in 2007).

I was a bit dissapointed with the Roseland Ballroom's bar - they had good liquors, but the beer selection was LAME! No Guinness at a Pogues show? Sacrilege!
