Sometimes we just feel like taking some time off. Our mistake from 1985 to 1994 was not doing it more often. You guys only see us once or twice a year (unless you're a Swede or Miss Walshy), we have to encounter The Pogues night after night for weeks on end. I always say that beats the hell out of double-maths (my favourite school period for daydreaming about a time when I wouldn't have to pretend to care about double maths anymore) but it's still a friendship that benefits from the occasional absence.
