Well, since I am the point person for my "Pogues group" and the fact I save my Pogues related email in a seperate folder makes it somewhat of an easy task. The funny thing is these emails have survived a transition from Eudora to Microsoft Outlook to Microsoft Exchange, while somehow all my outgoing work email has disappeared from Oct. 2007 to April 2009. Must be God's way of saying that the Pogues are more important than work. :)

I think they're saving the announcement as a Christmas present!

No offense, but I blame Canada for the delayed announcement.

Well, I am not sure if it was last year or the year before, but there supposed to be some Canada dates that ended up getting cancelled. You never know what kind or weird booking laws they have up there, that could hold things up.

Wow Jimmy,

I just can't leave your silly tangent alone.......you right! It must be us ruthless, conquering ignorant Canadians holding up the release dates!

I think y'all should prepare yourselves for the possibility that just because we have played the East Coast several years in a row now, we may not necessarily feel like doing it every year. Japan in October has not become a fixture though we did it twice, and indeed, after we reformed for the UK/Ireland in December 2001, we missed out Christmas 2002 and 2003.

We wouldn't want to be taken for granted!

Thank you Mr. Chevron,

At least your post should put a stop to the blaming of any one country for the reason there has not been any possible release dates posted to date.

Perhaps, although I don't think anyone was serious about Canada. Sometimes you just have to imagine the missing smiley face emoticon.

I couldn't possibly love Canada more, eh.

I am married to a girl of 100% French Canadian ancestry.

I think this sounds like a fantastic reason to play some Midwest dates in the spring...I'll vote for St. Louis for personal reasons, but maybe Chicago...Memphis...there's possibilities here! Not to mention that numerous Pogues shows within a reasonable travel radius would be amazing!
