The HoB in Boston is booked through March 17 with 6 DKM shows. Then there is a gap in the schedule from march 18 all the way to April 3.

Here's to hoping any Boston dates fall on a weekend in there somewhere.

I was a bit dissapointed with the Roseland Ballroom's bar - they had good liquors, but the beer selection was LAME! No Guinness at a Pogues show? Sacrilege!

Yes, that was absolutely ridiculous. They had two brands, neither of which was the least bit gaelic. Bud light and Schlitz (do they still make that? If so, why?) or something equally nasty. I made do with the many, many tiny bottles of Irish whiskey I had secreted on my person.

You secrete Irish Whiskey? Hot damn! Is this anything like IrishRover's Essence?

Did I say that? I meant I excrete Irish Whiskey.

Secrete, excrete ... either way, it's an improvement over "discharge."

I'm pretty sure Roseland had Guiness this past year in 09. I know they had Bass and another import, either Beck's or Heinie's to go along with the afore mentioned domestic swill.

Here's another anxious NYC fan (and I'm speaking for 15 others who are watching me write this) hoping against hope that there will be a US East Coast tour for St. Paddy's 2010...oh please, oh please...we see many shows here but we look forward to the Pogues more than any other! Our souls are hungry - please come and feed us!!

Beginning to get worried here about the east coast trip. I know it may be selfish, but I've got my hopes high for another tour - for DC, Baltimore, Philly, and/or NY. But it's always been announced by now. Hopefully because of the October and current tours the arrangements and announcement are being delayed a bit, but.....

I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong, but other than "hints," I don't remember an East Coast U.S. Spring tour officially confirmed before January.
Regardless, I think I'm ready to get out of the house.

2009 East Coast was announced in mid-November 2008
2008 EC was announced in mid-December 2007
2007 EC was announced in mid-January 2007
2006 EC was announced in mid-November 2005

So, no need to worry......yet.

Hints for 2009 EC were dropped by Philip on Oct 15 2008. The actual confirmed dates were confirmed on Nov 18. viewtopic.php?p=148606#p148606 . Version control of the front page confirms that this is the day the tour dates were placed on the front page too.

2008 EC dates were announced (at least on the front page) on Dec 6 2007.

2007 EC dates were announced (again, on the front page) on Jan 13, 2007.

2006 EC dates (front page, yadda yadda) on Nov 22, 2005.

Dang ... I had to go look at version control logs to find this stuff out. Mike From Boston, your note-keeping is frightening in its completeness.

Well, since I am the point person for my "Pogues group" and the fact I save my Pogues related email in a seperate folder makes it somewhat of an easy task. The funny thing is these emails have survived a transition from Eudora to Microsoft Outlook to Microsoft Exchange, while somehow all my outgoing work email has disappeared from Oct. 2007 to April 2009. Must be God's way of saying that the Pogues are more important than work. :)
