2009 - another sad year of struggle, funerals, bitterness and disappointment. But always looking forward to just two nights in Brixton and counting the days since annoncement of tourdates. To see the boys that will bring a smile back on my face and forget all the shite of the past months....

But not this year. Luton is closed and my flight is cancelled.

Feeling sad and helpness now (why isn 't here a smiley with a rope??)

I wish ya all two wonderful nights and a merry christmas.

Next year via railway...

That is grim. Really sorry to hear it, and for all who are having travel problems. The only snow we want at Pogues time is fake snow please.

We haven't got as far to come, but Castle firehazard is currently under a snowdrift. Sort of. Total travel chaos here this morning. We're hoping it will have cleared enough for the drive down tomorrow, but if it snows again we have problems. Damn.

Just travelled from Bedford back home to Norwich, roads seemed ok albeit still very very cold. Fingers crossed for no problems on the railway from Norwich to London tomorrow.

This aside... how much of a panic is caused by the media due to a bit of snow? The forecast for the white stuff has been circulating for nearly a week yet the UK goes into meltdown. Tch.....roll on Saturday night :)

God, this is a nation of pussies. Snow means everything stops! It's all pretty much melted now anyway.
