As this has been repeatedly proven to be utterly beyond his capabilities, i wouldn't put any money on it. Got anymore bright ideas? I, for one, can't wait until it's all over.

Not sure if this is a "bright" idea or a cool idea but... while we continue with the topic of eye protection, vomit and hoofed animals - Would everyone be willing to play nice if I promised to bring along some real Canadian snow to blow around while the band plays "FTINY"?........ As we are booking our airline tickets and hotel room later this week for the Sat. nite Dublin show.
Am I correct to understand that the Olympia is a new venue for this year's tour?

I'm from Scotland and my several trips to Dublin have usually involved a few trawls through Temple Bar and its hard NOT to find traditional Irish music. A lot of the bars in the area are very touristy and quite expensive but if your only staying a few days its a jumping place to start your Dublin experience!
You can't miss Oliver St John Gogarty's!! A BIG yellow bar covered in flag poles!! 3 floors of merriment in there plus great food! The Auld Dubliner usually has live music. I've seen a few people recommend the bar, The Bank, I would agree with that too. Its a great place with a lovely menu just one street below the Temple Bar area.
It really doesn't take long to walk around Temple Bar so go from one end to the other and keep your lugs open!!! You'll find more music, drink, food and craic than you can shake a stick at!!!!
ENJOY!!

You'll love the Olympia, Adam. They've not played it before because it's so small, capacity 1600. It's a real honest, down and dirty old theatre with a great atmosphere. I just hope Shane's on form.
See you there.
