Yeah, problem is that so far Air Lingus tells me they operate "from Mar 29 2009 - Sep 26 2009 on days Tue Sat". That's not going to help me much, and even if they operate on December as well, I can't fly on Tuesday. Couple of days in Dublin would be great, but my boss might have something to say about four days leave..

Angst angst. I don't even have the tickets yet, and I'm worrying about flights (and why would you care about this anyway...). Should calm down, but it's so damn hard! ;)

The absolute best opening act I've have even seen at any live show. Caught him when he opened in Boston in 2006. The audience was attentive, listening to him play. Never seen that before.

That 15 hour flight via Gatwick looks enticing!

Sorry, no. MCD is a world unto itself. They know what they're doing, and indeed they do it very well, but I'm not always party to their scheduling.

That's very good news and a reason not to spend so long in the pub before heading to the venue

Travelling to Dublin for Sunday night gig now - on a budget !!!

Getting there in the afternoon - travelling back on first plane in the morning - no hotel expense = more money for the boozer !!!

I will be joined by my mate who is in Dublin watching the Horslips the previous evening, who in turn has convinced his wife to return to london - on her own - on their 29th wedding anniversary so he can stay for the pogues - if Carlsberg did marriages ............

Mats - you will know all the good pubs by then I guess.

Are tickets on sale this friday ????

Bloody Hell!!!!

The draw of The Pogues live has forced my hand again!!

I will have to fly down from Shetland the weekend before The Pogues to see Steve Earle in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and fly back up to Shetland on the Monday!

Fly down from Shetland to Glasgow again on Thurs 11th Dec for the brilliant Pogues then home on the Friday afternoon for Steve Earle in concert in Shetland on Friday night!!!

I just couldn't face missing you guys with Phil once again back in the fold!!

Going to have to re-mortgage but foook it!?!?

Roll on December . . . . .

:D

if Carlsberg did marriages ............
Fair play to Mrs Mike who has agreed that an appropriate way to celebrate 20 years together is a weekend in Dublin seeing the Pogues. In fact I think the Pogues were one of the first gigs we went to way back then. How time flies.........

Me too! The first gig me and the future Mrs. McGreer went to together was Town and Country March '88. Oh the innocence of it all
