Never been to the Club Nokia, so we'll see how that goes. Fingers crossed that security won't be too overzealous.

Yes if they whine tell them my family is driving 20+ hours to Texas.

Can you guys not catch a plane? or is the cost to prohibitive? You must be talking 1200 miles each way

PHILLIP! RE: PORTLAND SHOW

Post Fri Oct 09, 2009 7:25 pm

hello mr. chevron -

ticket in hand for the portland show. saw you in seattle last year and flew to chicago to see you twice the years prior as i didn't expect you guys to make it to portland.

between 2006 and 2008 i've noticed the set lists are very similar each year. will there be any other songs added this year?
like -

"london you're a lady"?
"old main drag"?
"green queens and jeans"?
"boat train"?
"misty morning"?
"parting glass"?
"recruiting sergeant/rocky road to dublin/galway rac"?
"rake at the gates of hell"?

regardless, i'm looking forward to all of the classics. i mean, shit, it is a holy day of obligation. and i believe last year you played "greenland whale fisheries" which was new to the mix from when i went to chicago several years back.

thanks!

1283 according to Google Maps.

Cash is short and we have a family of 4 to get to Texas. Also, we are using this opportunity to pick up a cat for Jamaica if the kitten is ready to be weened from its mother. Jamaica has her heart set on an Egyptian Mau which are fairly rare.

Heck, we may even try to catch the show in KC on the way down if anyone has four extra tickets they want to get rid of cheap. I have not yet checked to see if that show still has tickets available. Does anyone know?
And I don't want no grave
Just throw my ashes in the field
And hope there's some soul left to save

Mr. Chevron - Just want to thank you for playing Seattle again. First saw you in the 80's at Tippetina's in New Orleans (my home at the time) - Shane lasted all of three or four songs, but a great show nonetheless - and have seen you many times over the years. You don't get to Seattle enough. My 5 year old is always asking for Shane on the CD player, and is pissed that he can't come with us to the show, so you have a new generation of fans, and I'm sure he's not the only one. In any event, I just want to thank you all for bringing great happiness to two generations of my family, and I am damn excited for tomorrow night. My wedding present to my recently married brother in Denver - tickets to see you at the Ogden.

Have fun in Seattle tonight, everyone, when tonight finally comes in the USA (it's already tonight in Liverpool).

Does anyone have a number besides the one on Artist Arena's website to get in touch with them regarding the tickets I never received? The show is tomorrow and I've been given the run around for a couple of weeks. Thanks.

This might help:

viewtopic.php?f=36&t=8136&hilit=arena+ticket

But being so close to the show, and being the weekend ... I dunno. Good luck.

The other option could be to get to the location extra early and see if your tickets have somehow been held at the "will call" window.

The Pogues should play in Butte, Montana for St. Patricks Day.

They could play outside the Helsinki for St. Urho's Day, in the Silver Dollar on St Patrick's Day, or at the Depot.
