I've seen The Pogues but not The Popes, the atmosphere at The Pogues would take a hell of a lot to beat! :D

The Popes are well worth seeing if Shane's on form. Saw them a few weeks ago, Shane was great, so it was a good gig, with good atmosphere. But Shane had to carry the band.
The Pogues are better - but then the Pogues are better than any other band. :)

THE POGUES.

The popes don't even play in the same league as The Pogues. They are an OK band, but nothing special. I should mention I have not seen them live since 1995.

... worth recalling that in 1995 the Popes were much better than the Pogues! In 1995 the Pogues had few original members, no Shane and a barely recognisable set list. But ten years later the Pogues are back on top :)

Is there a Popes forum somewhere? I know there's a Shane forum on the Paddy Rolling Stone site, and that The Popes are often discussed there. But is there actually a forum somewhere dedicated just to The Popes?

All fixed.

You know that one of the benefits of being registered is that you can edit your posts after you make them?
