What happened to pogueslive.com?

I hope it's just gone temporarily, because it was a great site.

Looks like the domain expired and someone else grabbed it.

Maybe it'll come back as pogues.live . That's still open.

According to the Contact info on the Archive the dude that made the thing is (or was) at ron.comley (AT) gmail.com. Someone should reach out to him.

I've emailed about 10 times and he's refused to help me point blank. I've got more shows than him but he DID have a couple that I WAS after

Our motivations are clearly different. I have no interest in exchanging boots with him (or with anyone else, for that matter). I am more curious about why the domain was permitted to lapse and whether he's planning to bring the web site back online under a different domain.

You can access pogueslive no problem in the link I've provided ;-)

Is there any particular reason you'd like the site to return under a different domain. I'm just curious :?:

Maybe we should get together and create a new "pogueslive.com"?

I am aware that I can look at the archive at the link provided. That’s not the point.

My interest is purely social and personal. The number of people that have made large Pogues-related web pages over the years is relatively small. I’m always curious what motivated the members of this club and what circumstances contributed to the shuttering of those sites. Just passing curiosity.

Great idea :) I'm sure there's enough of us on here who's very familiar with the Pogues bootleg scene who would be more than willing to contribute their knowledge.

I'm no PC expert, but could it not be added to this site :?:

For reasons I haven't researched Firefox hates that your content is embedded in a frame element and ends up presenting me with a blank page. If others are also seeing a blank page then you can access the new site directly at:

http://pogueslive.great-site.net/

Thanks for preserving the info Lade!

Thanks for the praises. We will update the site in the future and add more info/artwork when available.
We have done our best to keep it accurate. Rumoured bootlegs that can't be verified is not included and we will keep youtube videos away from the lists.

We had to do alot of research on some bootlegs as one was found to be listed as wrong year, date and country.
Limburg 1988 with The Dubliners turned out to be Croke Park 1987 and the one labeled Croke Park 1987 turned out to be Cork 1987.

There were others too that was labeled with incorrect dates.
All of these have been in curculation for years with incorrect info.
