Poguetry in motion tour? They'll be short gigs.

Well, the lads aren't getting any younger, are they? It might be all they can manage these days.

On my original vinyl copy, Planxty Noel Hill has a deep scratch on it. It was there when I got it home from the shop, on the day it was released, back in the day. If you don't physically move the stylus on, the track goes on for ages. So they could recreate that experience.

Or they could play a few other songs as well, if they're up for it. But just with Poguetry in Motion as the theme for the tour.

I have a sneaky feeling they'll do a summer festival somewhere. I hope so anyway!

It's not over 'till it's over. Until then we can wait in anticipation of what's to come and look back in smug satisfaction that we were there, whenever it was. I'm looking forward to the next gig and I'm reminiscing about the last. Whichever it may be I'm happy that's the way it's meant to be. You don't get one without the other.

I used to have a bike like that. It always took ages to get to the pub.

Most of the festivals around the UK and Ireland seem to have their line ups confirmed at this point. It's not looking promising for this summer is it? Oh well maybe September will bring news for Christmas :-)

Totally agree. Christmas is probably our next best hope for future Pogues shows. This fine, pleasant thought, is surely boosted by the photo of Shane on his exercise bike....looking lean, mean, and hopefully keen for more Poguetry.

According to Spider, the band is "resting"

In 2013, Pogues guitarist Philip Chevron died following a battle with esophageal cancer. The band remains in good spirits — literally, as it recently teamed up with West Cork Distillery to release a line of Irish whiskey — though the band, Stacy says, "is currently resting."

"That's not to say it's all over until it clearly and unequivocally is," he says.

The rest of the current pogues are just in it for the cash. That's crystal clear whether or not you wanna admit It. There will be no announcements cause there's no money involved just hang up the boots, live off the royalties and everyone else can get fu*ked.

It's comments like this that prove you don't have the mental capacity to appreciate the pogues.

A shame really.

Best of luck to ya.....
