No James Walbourne, too!

Yes, according to what I've read here anyway, recent shows have featured no guitarist, just Terry playing guitar on a few songs.

That's what happened at the Thetford Forest gig. Mr Walbourne is touring this summer as part of The Rails. Whom I should be seeing on Sunday. They're bloomin' good.
Likes the warm feeling but is tired of all the dehydration.

For sure. Has Darryl played at the other gigs this summer?

Hello. We were at the gig with a few mates. Third show for a friend and I after the terrible Olympia 2010 (Dublin, 2nd night) and the magnificent Olympia 2012 (Paris, 1st night). This one was particular. The crowd was really hot, the band was in top form but Shane was sick to death and seemed to suffer hard during all the show. A few sparks of genius from him during Thousands are Sailing, Sick Bed and the encore (which is not the appropriate term because Shane did not want to leave the stage at this time and Terry Woods had to tell the band to get back immediately): huge and very emotionnal renditions of Sally MacLennane and Rainy Night in Soho. The "Beautiful" (as Spider respectfully called him a few times during the gig) asked if we wanted one more and launched Fiesta but he was out of it, like most of the show. Quite sad to see him like that but happy to see him trying to get the best of it, with the band standing alongside their leader and getting absolutely perfect during the few songs he was offstage. Shane cheered the crowd before leaving, greeted us for being intense, and I thought it is a good way to qualify that concert: emotional and intense, even if it was not the best.

Show duration: 75min
Setlist (in right order, I guess):

Streams of Whiskey
If I Should Fall From Grace With God
Boys From the County Hell
Tuesday Morning
Kitty
A Pair of Brown Eyes
Jesse James
(Unknown song to me. Sung by Shane but don't remember which one it was, never saw it live before)
The Sunnyside of the Street
Young Ned of the Hill
Greenland Whale Fisheries
Repeal of the Licensing Laws
Thousands Are Sailing
The Body of an American
Dirty Old Town
The Sick Bed of Cúchulainn
Sally MacLennane
A Rainy Night in Soho
Fiesta

Cheers!

Maybe it was. But if it was, I don't remember the Streets of Sorrow intro, and the pit was beyond wild, quite confusing for a guy who always have spare time for The Pogues but don't know their discography in its entirety... Hope another review or a bootleg/video will help fill the blank... :)

From listening to his recent show appearances, Shane seems to be really unwell. I've mentioned it before, his energy seems to have vanished. Really sad, but respect to him for trying and not letting the fans down!

no, this one was not sung

Yes! I'm pretty sure it was this one, I remember now that melodic lick at the end of each verse! Thank you! :)
