Future US Tours?

I figured I would post this under a new topic. At the book signing the other night, of course the question came up when are the Pogues coming back to the US. James said "it isn't that the Pogues don't want to play in the States again, it is the trouble Shane has getting through airports. He is always getting pulled over for secondary screening. The distances are so far to drive and when that has been tried before Shane arrived in worse shape than before, so it just wasn't worth it." He did mention a hilarious anecdote about Shane being warned that he better be presentable for a trip to Japan and Shane arrived with a new suit and tons of makeup.

So, there were various pleas made to James about coming to the US again, and he promised to bring it up with the band. Maybe their is a Pogues fan with a private jet they could use!
